Flash #86 (DC)
Martin: 4/5 stars. A good finale to this latest arc, with a showdown between Captain Cold & the Flash, with the Rogues as well as Avery, Wallace, and even Iris having a part. It’s a satisfying end that also sets up the premise for the next arc.

Freedom Fighters #12 (DC)
Martin: 3/5 stars. The premise of this story had so much potential, but the lack of strong character development for the heroes, & the shallow, mustache-twirling depiction of the Nazis never caused me to care much. A wasted opportunity.

Justice League Odyssey #17 (DC)
Martin: 4/5 stars. Truth be told, I was prepared to give up on this series before reading this latest issue. The story’s pace, cliffhanger ending, & the use of Jessica Cruz, Blackfire, & Dex-starr have hooked me back in.

Legion of Superheroes #3 (DC)
Martin: 3.5/5 stars. This is a fun title, and it’s great seeing some many old-school characters back in DC’s monthly schedule. That said, we’re 3 issues in and the overall story hasn’t revealed itself, & the bit with Damian was underwhelming.

The Question: The Deaths of Vic Sage #2 (DC)
Martin: 3/5 stars. Some great art, and that’s the only thing that contributes to this score being as high as it is. This is the first Lemire story I haven’t liked. Question is made so unlikable that I don’t want to read more.

Undiscovered Country #3 (Image)
Martin: 4.5/5 stars. That sure took a turn, and not one I was expecting. That’s part of what makes this book so great – it’s never quite what it seems, but the pacing is also just right, giving out enough info to keep readers interested.
