Wolverine Origins to End!?!

According to an interview with CBR, writer Daniel Way has confirmed that after a new arc starts in March, Wolverine Origins will come to a close. In the interview, Way was quoted as saying about the current and next arc titled “Reckoning” that “with the Muramasa Blade involved, that could very well be Wolverine’s last battle.” This next arc will also cross-over with the current Dark Wolverine title and include Daken and Romulus as the major players.

This really shouldn’t shock anybody who keeps up with the Marvel U. Wolverine has been seen in more titles than black ink these days so something had to give. I honestly will miss this title though because I’ve been collecting it from the get go and have enjoyed it as an entire work. Hopefully the Wolverine Weapon X series will keep going and Wolverine can just go back to his main title that Daken took over when Dark Reign started.

I figured this series would only go on for so long before it got the axe. Some arcs were a LOT better than others and overall it was one of the better Wolverine books but seriously we have been on Logon overload for years now lol Maybe Marvel can trim his appearences down to 6 books a month

I’m ok with it. I thought the Romulus arc fell very flat, especially at its conclusion.
However, I am anxious to see what’s up with Daken and his Muramasa Blade-laced claws!!

@Speech & Andy-I’m with you guys. I liked the book but his regular title plus Weapon X and X-appearances and New Avengers appearances will be OK. lol

One less book for Wolverine to appear in on a monthly basis? I don’t see the bad in this deal. I’ve always been of the opinion that a hero shouldn’t have any more than two solo books (like “Amazing Spider-Man” and “Spectacular Spider-Man”) per month. If they are also a member of a team, it should be as a member of ONE team!
Wolverine has been done to death and over exposed. I got burned out on him back in the 90’s. He’s got to be scaled back!

I picked this up after the Original Sin crossover with X-Men Legacy and I’ve really enjoyed it. It’s the only Wolverine title I’m reading now. The Romulus thing has been OK, not great, but not bad. I’m actually interested to see how it will end.

@Jeff-you should pick up Weapon X, if your into horror comics that is. Very graphic scenes in that one but also good and crazy story to go along with it.
