The strangest bit of retconning that’s occurred in the Batman legacy, is that Tim Drake was never “Robin”. It’s a strange change, because for most of us Tim was Robin nearly our entire lives. Furthermore, he’s arguably the best Robin to Bruce Wayne’s Batman, which makes it even more ridiculous that his entire tenure as Batman’s partner, was as Red Robin. That’s just a taste of the disservice done to his character since the new52. However, this issue does a great job of highlighting everything that was great about his character as well as everything that still could be great. His technological prowess was always something that was unrivaled by the other Robins and that skill of his is shown off in this issue. Coupled with his tremendous physical skills, this issue finally brought back a glimpse of the amazing character he once was. 4/5

If ever there was a doubt that Dick Grayson should be in charge, this issue should remove all such doubt. With the Court of Owls pulling strings in the background and the Gotham PD waging war on all things Robin, it’s up to the Legacy Robins to keep things from escalating too far. Tom King and Tim Seeley do a fantastic job with this issue. Dick, Jason, Tim, and even Damian take what they’ve learned from being Batman’s sidekick and attempt to impart that wisdom onto the horde of Robins that are around these days. However, Dick does what he does best, which is making sure that everyone is safe and sound, even if that means prison time in the short run. It’s exciting to see where this story is headed now that the Court of Owls have come out of the shadows. 4/5

I don’t even read Grayson and this one (along w/ Arnab’s suggestions) make me want to go out and check out earlier issues!

So are the Robins fighting the GCPD or the Court of Owls?

    1. Arnab

      Pretty much, both of them.
The GCPD is unknowingly being directed by the Court of Owls.
