Chirpin’ Tuesday Reviews 05/08/19

Batman and the Outsiders #1 (DC)
Infinite Speech: Black Lightning, The Signal, Orphan, and Katana make this issue worth getting and Bryan Hill and Dexter Soy are the reason why!

Captain America #10 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Ta-Nehisi Coates and Adam Kubert take it to the next level with this one AND we get Syn and Crossbones!

Catwoman #11 (DC)
Infinite Speech: Loving the new costume design and Selina being the gentlewoman thief/adventurer is something I didn’t think I’d like as much as I am.

Excellence #1 (Image)
Infinite Speech: MAN! After several readings I gotta say that Excellence lives up to it’s name and you can check out the full review here!

Flash: Year One #1 (DC)
Infinite Speech: This look back at Barry’s origin was perfect for both new and older fans with a great version of Flash on the last page!

Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #6 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: So Tom Taylor went straight for the feels in this heartwarming self contained issue. *sniff* *sniff*

Hit-Girl: Hollywood #4 (Image)
Infinite Speech: Yep. This is truly a Kevin Smith story. Interpret that however you want.

Justice League Odyssey #9 (DC)
Infinite Speech: Dan Abnett has me not trusting characters I’ve liked forever but I’m glad things have picked up because I was close to dropping this title.

Ronin Island #3 (BOOM!)
Infinite Speech: Greg Pak just threw an unexpected twist in here and I’m hoping Kenichi does the right thing!

War of the Realms: New Agents of Atlas #1 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: I’m hoping there’s an Asian kid reading this that gets the same feeling I did when I read titles that show people who look like me doing badass heroic things!
