Avengers: The Children’s Crusade #4 (Marvel)
Jeff: I wish all comic books could be drawn by Jim Cheung. I want to marry his version of Wanda!
NickZ: Wow, all heck is breaking loose! Awesome series!
Arnab: As mother and son reunite, war breaks out between the Avengers, the Young Avengers and Doom’s army.
Azrael #16 (DC)
NickZ: I really like this new direction for Azrael. This book is at the best it’s ever been.
Brightest Day #17 (DC)
Andy: More of the Hawks kicking ass please!
NickZ: This issue didn’t have enough Firestorm, although I did enjoy the Hawkman and Boston stories.
Arnab: Firestorm rushes to help the Life Entity, war arrives on the planet of Zamaron, and on Earth the White Lantern has begun to power up.
Captain America: Hail Hydra #1 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: A good old fashioned Cap story on the origins of Hydra that does a fine job of setting up the series.
Darkness #88 (Top Cow)
Infinite Speech: Jackie and Sovereign’s final battle and a father comes through for his family in a damn good Phil Hester story!
Doc Macabre #2 (IDW)
Aron: Remember I said, a cross between Ghost Busters and The Frighteners? Well, I’m adding Dr. Who to it. Don’t ask. I’m liking it.
Generation Hope #3 (Marvel)
Jeff: I really want to like this story, but I think it could have been condensed into 1 or 2 issues at most.
NickZ: Looks like Hope is starting to accept her destiny as “Messiah” a little more and what about Phoenix calling Hope “my child”? hmm.
House of Mystery #33 (Vertigo)
Aron: HAHA! Wow! Oh, man! Cain and Fig are GREAT together! Total riot!
iZombie #9 (Vertigo)
Jeff: Can no one tell that Gwen is PURPLE?
Heavy Metal: March 2011 (Heavy Metal)
Andy: I’m so happy I jumped on the Heavy Metal train a few months ago. Such a fun magazine!
Decapitated Dan: I love Requiem, and this chapter rocked. Minis were okay.
Marineman #2 (Image)
Andy: Ian Churchill, this is a virtual high five from me to you man. I’ve been pleasantly surprised with this book so far. Give it a shot if things under the sea are your thing!
Starman/Congorilla #1 (DC)
Andy: Someone should give the 140 characters or less memo to Robinson. It felt like reading a text book.
Steel #1 (DC)
Andy: Surprisingly pretty decent. It’s one huge brawl with Doomsday, and I was entertained. Russell Crowe would be proud.
NickZ: I had no intention of getting this book but it looked too interesting to pass up and I was right. I’ll stick around for the next issue.
Suicide Forrest #2 (IDW)
Decapitated Dan: All I can say is spooky! Stay out of that damn Forrest!
Aron: I was expecting more BOOGA BOOGA! than what this issue had. Still good, though.
Superboy #3 (DC)
Andy: Meh. Not really my thing. I’m absolutely loving Lemire’s Sweet Tooth, though.
NickZ: Conner is a bit of a stick in the mud but the book itself is pretty fun.
Arnab: A hero from the not too distant future arrives, bringing danger with him.
Sweet Tooth #17 (Vertigo)
Andy: Better than a candy store where everything is free and the employees are cuddly kittens.
Eli: A huge revelation, a great triumph, and one of the saddest moments I’ve seen in a comic in a long time.
Aron: A hardcore, brutal punch in the heart.
Thanos Imperative: Devastation (Marvel)
Eli: Not much here, basically just setting up for the Annihilators series.
Aron: Cosmo is assemblink badasses. Seeink Cosmo beink on surfboard, was very entertainink!
Ultimate Comics Captain America #1 (Marvel)
Andy: Jason Aaron writes gritty, dirty, nasty stories better than any other writer in comics right now. Vietnam Era Captain America. F***ing sick.
Vampirella #2 (Dynamite)
Decapitated Dan: 2 issues in and I’m done. It’s a shame that it’s just turned into a female Blade comic.
Aron: Dumb. How’s THAT for 140 characters or less?
The Walking Dead #80 (Image)
Andy: Smell that? That’s a shit storm headed their way.
Jeff: Everyone in this book makes me nervous. This month: Douglas, Jessie’s son Ron, and Abraham.
NickZ: This was definitely the calm before the storm. I’m bracing myself for some “awww crap” moments.
Arnab: Zombies surround Alexandria as the survivors scramble to prepare for the inevitable.
Weird Worlds #1 (DC)
Aron: See Vampirella #2.
Decapitated Dan: Not that I knew what to expect, but that was boring.
Wolverine The Best There Is #2 (Marvel)
NickZ: A little better than the first issue but still not very good.
X-Factor #213 (Marvel)
Andy: Looking forward to seeing what’s in store for Darwin. His character has great potential.
Jeff: I was just about to groan with Pip the Troll joining the group until the last page.
NickZ: Is it just me or does Longshot seem to be getting dumber by the minute?
Arnab: As one member is welcomed back into X-Factor, Darwin, still feeling the affects of his battle with Hela, decides to leave the team.
