Just as Princess Powerful reported back in March, the Charmed Ones are back!  Zenescope Entertainment houses the return of Piper, Phoebe, Paige, and all their cohorts and enemies in this new comic book series!

Issue #0 is “The Book of Shadows,” listing bios of the three sisters, their love interests, their enemies, and even remembering their deceased sister, Prue.  It also covers the Whitelighters, Darklighters, various spells, how to call a lost witch, how to perform a Seance, and delves into the history of the Warren line of witches.  This issue also includes a recap of each of the eight television seasons and includes pictures of the cast of characters.

Charmed #0 is pretty boring, but it is an essential read leading up to the first issue as the television series has been off the air for quite some time, and a lot of the details may have been forgotten.  It’s great for the Charmed faithful, as it highlights key moments of the series, of both good memories and bad, and is a necessary read for anyone who is not all that familiar with the series but wants to give the comic a try.  It is pretty much the encyclopedia of who’s who, what’s what, and everything that happened previously.

I don’t get this one. I never saw the show, but I guess it was popular to some degree, but after a few years a comic of it? Just doesn’t make sense to me.

So it’s basically a book to get people familiar with the girls? Hmmm yeah those usually fall short that info could have been put at the end of several of the upcoming issues spotlighting the different characters.

Well, I reckon it was just to grab some money. I never really watched the show too often, but when I watched it…I watched it for Alyssa Milano!

    Charmed rocks!

Nicamu- It did rock. At least what I watched of it. I couldn’t get into it as much as I could Buffy.
