Titan Publishing Previews: WWE Heroes #1

(In my best Rock impression) Finally, the WWE has come BACK to comics! Titan Publishing and World Wrestling Entertainment team up for 20 issues of WWE Heroes. The series will feature the top WWE Superstars and Divas like Triple H, The Undertaker, John Cena, and Kelly Kelly.

“We’ve got some truly amazing stories to tell – our first issue is going to blow you away,” said Ned Hartley, editor of WWE Heroes. “The ‘in-your-face, no-holds-barred’ attitude of the WWE works so well as a comic, we just can’t wait for people to see the great surprises that we’ve got in store.”

DC Comics writer and WWE fan Keith Champagne (Justice Society of America, Green Lantern Corps, Adolescent Radioactive Black Belt Hamsters) will pen the series and Andy Smith (Superman Confidential, Green Lantern) will provide the art. Also, a special alternate cover to the first issue will be drawn by Liam Sharp (Incredible Hulk, Batman: Shadow of the Bat).

Issue #1 reveals an eternal rivalry set against the backdrop of the history of WWE. Why is the ruthless Shadow King so obsessed with the WWE? What is the reason for his eternal and supernatural war with the Firstborn? And could his ancient opponent really be a member of the WWE roster?

WWE Heroes #1 drops March 23 as part of the WrestleMania 26 celebration, but you can catch a few pages right here.
