Friday, October 4th saw one of the many highlights of NYCC 2019 as Wendy’s Presents Heroes After Dark, Powered by New York Comic Con and Fandom took over Sony Hall on West 46th St in New York City. Musical guests Chromeo and DJ Elliot dropped a couple of great sets while fans and talent mingled with industry insiders on the dance floor. Among the exclusive fare provided were cocktails featuring the new Johnnie Walker A Song of Ice and A Song of Fire limited edition whiskies. In addition to serving as the official after party of NYCC 2019, the event also benefited charity partner, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

So it doesn’t matter what event you went to over the weekend, if it didn’t have the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus putting a spell on you and warming up the dance floor then you were at the wrong party. As everything went to straight geek mode as the music set kicked off with the most fire remix of the Avengers theme we’ve heard. Followed by more heat from the Stranger Things theme and everything just took off from there! By the time the Lizzo/Beyonce mix kicked in and the crowd joined in on Bohemian Rhapsody the “official after party” was indeed, certified official!
Event sponsor Wendy’s also provided a specialty menu and exclusive copies of their hardcover Feast of Legends handbook. A sneak peak at their recently launched tabletop RPG was definitely a welcome surprise. The full game guide can be downloaded at feastoflegends.com.
