Marvel Previews: Uncanny X-Men #524 + X-Men Hellbound #1

X-Men Second Coming has been moving along quite nicely, providing us X-Fans with plenty of non-stop action and stellar art. After the events of Second Coming Chapter 5, things have gotten serious for mutankind as they lost one of their own. What this means to Cyclops and his people has yet to be determined, but given how the X-Men have been put through the ringer lately and how this week’s issue of Uncanny X-Men #524 only marks the halfway point of the event, it may be safe to assume things are only going to get worse before they get better. Check out the preview of this week’s issue written by Matt Fraction with art by Terry Dodson.

Also due out this week is X-Men Hellbound #1 which stars everyone’s favorite New Mutant, Illyana Rasputin…or at least the only version of her that’s currently alive and kicking in the 616 Universe. Apparently Magik flees to Limbo where she is confronted by an old adversary. It’s worth noting that Limbo is the primary location for this mini and that it commences the week after a certain someone died who has connections to Hell…maybe the death from last issue isn’t as permanent as we all think? Who knows, but based on this preview it looks like an issue worth checking out as it’s written by fan favorite Chris Yost with art from Harvey Tolibao (whose style reminds me of a verdant David Finch).

It looks to be an X-Citing Wednesday this week!

I wonder if anyone told Kitty yet?

I was pretty hesitant about the Hellbound story but I’m giving it a shot after reading that preview and looking at that art! That shot of Cyclops mirrored in Peter is NICE!

Cannot wait for this weeks stuff! Oh, that art in Uncanny looks terrible though. 😀

Oh hey yeah, I’d pay to see Colossus kick Cyclops’s ass.
