The Lehigh Valley Comic Con was held on Saturday December 5th this year and I had the pleasure of being there. It was a small show but it was really well done. Honestly, the only other Con I’ve been to was in New York City, and that was just spectacular. This small convention was really cool though too. They had around 15-20 vendors and the guest of honor was Herb Trimpe (co-creator of Wolverine). Also, appearing at the show was Khoi Pham (Mighty Avengers) and another illustrator I hadn’t heard of before, Chris Ring. Ring had many sketches and some inked pics as well. I bought a Wolverine sketch and my daughter got Wonder Woman!
I have to say that the most enjoyable time other than sifting through comics had to be talking with Khoi Pham. He was extremely nice to everyone and had a crowd around him most of the day. I never even saw him take a break! He was talking while doing sketches and signing comics the entire show. What a talent and all around nice guy. I bought one of his panel sketches from Mighty Avengers #23 of Dr. Strange, and bought a signed copy of Mighty Avengers #19. Great vendors, good food (according to my wife and kids, I didn’t eat), and tons of comics for 50 cents! The Lehigh Valley Comic Con will be having 3 events this upcoming year on Saturday March 20th, Saturday May 22nd, and Saturday December 4th. Looks like fun! You’ve been to more Cons than me; my only Con experience so far was one in Buffalo back in the 90s. That will change this summer though with the SDCC. : )

@Andy & AH- It was a lot of fun for me and my family. When I went to “The National”, in NYC, it was really big and had lots of vendors but it got pretty crowded too and I’m not a fan of crowds. This little Con was just the right size for a casual person or a hardcore collector as well. They had cards, figures, statues, you name it.
