New ‘Jupiter’s Legacy’ Trailer Introduces a Brand New Superhero Family to the Screen!

Netflix has released the trailer for the Image Comics hit, Jupiter’s Legacy! The series that was created by Mark Millar along with artist Frank Quitely and colors by Peter Doherty back in 2013 will now get it’s live action debut on the popular streaming service.

Superhero family drama isn’t new as we’re currently enjoying shows like Black Lightning and Superman & Lois that bring something else to the genre. Now we’ll get to see what the Sampson family has to offer as the next generation of would-be heroes must live up to the astronomical potential of their parents. And when your parents set the bar as high as Utopian (Josh Duhamel) and Lady Liberty (Leslie Bibb) it’s going to be a struggle.

The trailer does a bit of time hopping as we’re introduced to members of The Union with a glimpse of how they got their powers. We also get a look at Chloe (Elena Kampouris) and Brandon (Andrew Horton) Sampson, the siblings who are struggling with pressures of living up the hype of their parents. There’s also some quality SFX and great interpretations of Quitley’s costume designs. I’ll say that Raikou’s (Anna Akana) is already my favorite.

Synopsis:

After nearly a century of keeping mankind safe, the world’s first generation of superheroes must look to their children to continue the legacy. But tensions rise as the young superheroes, hungry to prove their worth, struggle to live up to their parents’ legendary public reputations — and exacting personal standards. Based on the graphic novels by Mark Millar and Frank Quitely, Jupiter’s Legacy is an epic superhero drama that spans decades and navigates the complex dynamics of family, power, and loyalty.

Jupiter’s Legacy debuts on Netflix May 7th. Let us know what you think of the trailer in the comments below!
