Hello and welcome to this week’s exciting edition of Marvel Snapshot! Keeping with my Horror theme, I’ll be spotlighting none other than Satana, the little sister of Daimon Hellstrom! She’s probably not on most people’s radar outside of hardcore horror fans, but she’s definitely more than a handful for anyone that gets in her way. Let’s take a look at the sexy but dangerous daughter of the devil!

Alright, so if you have been keeping up with my horror-fest in Ye Olde School Cafe’, then you’d know that I just wrote about Daimon Hellstrom. Satana is his sister, and that is about the only thing they have in common. Daimon renounced his father’s approach, while Satana embraced it. Instead of being raised as an orphan top-side, she chose to live in the bowels of Hell with her father. As she learned the dark arts from him and his underlings, she eventually sought out mankind for a variety of reasons. Mostly to just wreak havoc and kill innocent people. She made her debut in Vampire Tales #2 in 1973, and was conceived by Roy Thomas and John Romita Jr.
Once among the living, she pretty much just ran around killing people for fun, but eventually she came into contact with a satanist named Ruth Cummins. All the while, Satana was possessed by a creature named Basilisk. Each time she used the power of the demon, it grew stronger. Eventually, Satana came to the aid of Dr. Strange. He had been turned into a werewolf of sorts, and she knew how to save him. She did save him, but it cost her greatly. She was killed moments after saving Dr. Strange, as she was stabbed in the back. Later, Dr. Strange resurrected her, and along with Jennifer Kale and Topaz, they together fought Hellphyr. She also had to deal with the N’Garai.

Satana had a run in with her brother, and it appeared as though he killed his own sister. Satana would survive though, because she’s more of an entity than a “real” person. She would come back again to suck the life out of anyone who would get in her way.
