Steve Mannion signing at Forbidden Planet in NYC!

This Saturday, January 30th, Asylum Press artist/writer Steve Mannion will be appearing at Forbidden Planet in New York City from 3pm-7pm!

Steve is the creator/writer/artist for the acclaimed The Bomb graphic novel as well as the new Fearless Dawn series, both published through Asylum. His resume also includes Warlash: Dark Noir, Satan’s 3-Ring Circus of Hell, Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty, Tales From the Crypt, Batman: Black and White and many more! Steve will be available to sign books, do sketches, and have original art for sale. Click the link to check out this sketch Steve did for me inside my personalized copy of Fearless Dawn #1. Pretty swank, eh?

“This will be my first signing at Forbidden Planet and I’m pretty darn psyched about it. Hopefully we’ll be able to do many more! Come on down and throw a shoe at me,” Steve proclaimed.

“This is the start of a promotional tour for Fearless Dawn,” says publisher Frank Forte, “we’re excited to kick it off at Forbidden Planet. There will be more dates announced soon.”

“As big fans, we here at Forbidden Planet can barely contain ourselves over the fact that Steve Mannion and Asylum Press are kicking off their Fearless Dawn support tour with us… I’m personally bringing extra shoes to throw at him,” declared Matt Desiderio, the manager of Forbidden Planet.

Forbidden Planet is located at 840 Broadway in NYC. For more details visit their website, and while you’re at it check out the Asylum Press site as well!

Personally, I’m a huge fan of Steve Mannion. I interviewed him with the blog I previously wrote for before founding ComicAttack.net, and he’s a totally cool dude. I love his sense of humor and his pin-up art style in my favorite works of his like The Bomb and Fearless Dawn is gorgeous. So if you’re in the NYC area tomorrow, be sure to meet Steve and don’t forget to bring that old pair-less shoe you’ve been meaning to throw out; Steve’s face is begging for it!
