Gotta Have it!: Toy Fair 2019 – Kids

For kids attending Toy Fair 2019 there were plenty of things a convention center full toys and collectibles to get excited about. However, I’ll just round up some of the various booths and items that caught my eye. With this post I want to focus on a brand round-up of things coming down the pipeline for kids.

Insect Lore has a partnership with Eric Carle. If you remember that name its because he is the writer of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and the Grouchy Ladybug among other books. Insect Lore has been doing mail order for butterfly’s since 1969 and with this partnership they are engaging kids through their favorite books and peeling back a layer behind their growth processes with activity books and live creatures.

Brandable brought together three YouTube stars over at their booth. The highlight of their booth was an appearance on Sunday of pup star Jiffpom. Jiffpom is a Pomeranian and represents cuteness in all aspects. He has plush items and mini figures out as well as bags and other goodies.

Guava Juice has a bunch of gooey slime stuff and the featured product has to be hands down the Slime Splatblaster.

Craft City by Karina Garcia also has a whole assortment of slime and bath bombs to make.

Kids are so into slime right know and I’m at a loss for words about it.

TY is still putting out beanie babies by the butt load even though their new line with sequins is a bit over the top for me. The whole toy industry obsession with color change sequin is a miff to me but here we are at least they still have a few classic sized beanies and their licensed stuff is so cute. The winner here has to be the jumbo sized Dumbo.
