From Friendly Ghosts To Gamma Rays: Jet Jaguar vs. Breakfast

We take a day off this week from your favorite all-ages comics column, From Friendly Ghosts To Gamma Rays, however, that doesn’t mean we leave you empty handed without something to read. In fact Jet Jaguar, who kaiju-fans know from Godzilla vs. Megalon, has decided to help us out this week by taking on something that everyone connects with their youth: breakfast! We present a short segment called Jet Jaguar vs. Breakfast!

As Jet Jaguar steps up to the breakfast table, instinctually due to his long time around Godzilla and pals on Monster Island, he decides that he must make a package of Quaker Dinosaur Eggs Brown Sugar Oatmeal (he wishes it was Apple Cinnamon, but hey, what can you do).

Jet Jaguar rips open the pack and dumps it in a bowl as he hums his own theme song (and why wouldn’t he hum his own theme song, he is one of very few kaiju in the Godzilla movies to be given his own tune complete with lyrics!).

He begins to stir away, fondly thinking of the time he tag-teamed with Godzilla against Gigan and Megalon at the same time. In the process he splashes water on the table.

Not one to damage good wood work, he cleans the water and finishes the stirring, letting the dino-eggs melt into little dino-candies on his spoon.

Although it is Maple-flavored, Jet Jaguar still enjoyed it and would recommend it as part of a breakfast for you, best for the little guys, served while watching the 1980s Dungeons and Dragons TV series, or for the adults while reading the new Dethklok comic collection from Dark Horse (our FFGTGR columnist Drew has a little pull quote on the back).

That’s it for this week! Next week we are back to the normal reviews!
