Last year my LCS (local comic shop) here in LA, Collector’s Paradise, was absolutely swamped with fanboys and girls of all ages. FCBD is a great way to expose yourself to characters and publishers you may normally overlook as a reader. I’d say the diamond in the rough from last year was the preview issue of The Stuff of Legend. Here’s a shot of Collector’s Paradise on May 1, 2009:

If you look closely, you can see yours truly putting out a bunch of freebies!

Stay tuned for a listing of the Silver Comics line-up!

Wow Andy, your place was packed!

  2. Kristin

I have never seen a comic store packed like that before. But then, the one I worked at was pretty small. I’m not sure I’ve ever been in one that big; at least not at a peak hour.

So is this joe title going to be seperate from the other title or is IDW doing the whole “renumbering” thing as well?

  4. Eli

We had a store that big in south fl, but it was never that packed. It’s gotta be cool to work in such a busy shop Andy.

  5. Andy

Yeah, this was one of our busiest days of the year!

@Speech- I have no clue, but the idea sounds cool to me!
