DC Universe News: Brightest Day

DC announced today, via Dan DiDio, that Blackest Night will pave the way for a new series, Brightest Day. The series will begin this April with Brightest Day #0 and span 26 issues. DC will bring together the creative minds of Geoff Johns and Peter Tomasi of Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps to spearhead the writing for this title. Dan DiDio did not reveal any artists other than Fernando Pasarin, artist for Brightest Day #0, but says they “have a number of wonderful artists slated to contribute to the book, which we’ll be announcing soon.” Along with the news they released this image:

Great News! I am absolutely looking forward to this! Blackest Night has been an excellent event, and Brightest Day will surely be as well. I don’t think there is any way they could screw this up with Geoff Johns and Peter Tomasi, writers of two of the best books DC is putting out right now, at the helm. Stay tuned, because more information about Brightest Day will definitely be released!
