I absolutely had no idea what to expect from No One Left to Fight but everything about Sitterson’s story makes me want to come back for more in the next issue! The introduction to the world is well crafted through the characters and it seems our main protagonist, Vale, is dealing with some real post saving the world type stuff here. All of which is balanced out with some laughs along with tense and uncomfortable moments between his brother and sister-in-law. And though Sitterson isn’t giving away too much here what we do get to see raises several questions regarding Vale’s brother and what happened the day he saved the world.

The art in No One Left to Fight is an intense visual assault from Fico Ossio and Taylor Esposito. This brightly colored neon adventure gives the narrative that extra punch that moves the story and rides the emotional wave that gives us more than expected. Ossio’s characters are expressive and are in sync with Sitterson’s dialogue almost perfectly. A personal favorite moment is Pod’s expressions as Vale and Krysta are talking on the couch. Small moments like that help make this a great book. The artist’s character designs are over the top and just as wild which give a unique look to this world. However, when the action kicks in, it hits harder than a one-inch punch from Bruce Lee! Those scenes were a joy to look at especially when they kick off after Timor hears a comment from his kid that sends him reeling!

Dark Horse has a winner here with No One Left to Fight. At least in my eyes. The first issue does what an introductory issue is supposed to do and hopefully the creative team can keep up this momentum for some time! When this one hits the shelf go ahead and add it to your read pile!
