b&r eternal 23 Batman and Robin Eternal #23
Writers: James Tynion IV, Scott Snyder, and Genevieve Valentine
Artists: Christian Duce and Gave Eltaeb
Cover Artists: Carlo Pagulayan
Publisher: DC

Midnighter joining team Robin for the ultimate showdown against Mother is exactly what this book needed. The last couple of issues have been a tad stale, mostly because they’ve been preparation fro the final battle, however, this issue brings back that anticipation and excitement that was ever present at the beginning of the series. This issue splits up all of the Robins, as well as their friends, across the glove in a worldwide attempt to stop Mother. Meanwhile, Grayson travels to Antarctica to face down Mother in person. This issue is exactly what the series needed coming in on the ending. It’s got action, the story progresses along nicely, and even the newbies make an impression. 4/5

btmnt 4Batman/ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #4
Writers: James Tynion IV
Artists: Freddie E. Williams II and Jeremy Colwell
Cover Artists: Kevin Eastman
Publisher: DC

Batman fighting alongside the Ninja Turtles is just about the coolest thing that could happen to a kid. This book being an absolute blast is just the icing on the top. While trying to figure out how to get the Turtles back home, a familiar face makes an unexpected trip of his own. Casey Jones joining this book is fantastic, even if he ended up losing the mutagen to the Shredder. Overall this book is just massive fun to read. 4/5
