Another issue, another villain who is not in fact mastermind that has been tormenting Batman for close to a year now. There’s a particular scene in this issue that is worth mentioning, where Batman is absolutely flustered and frustrated that he has no idea who’s behind all of this. And that’s specifically worth mentioning because that is really one of the only major issues with this series. For a weekly published book, this series has overall been really well done. The art has been amazing some weeks and decent in others, the writing has been equally fantastic in some issues and monotonous in others, however looking back over the series, it has generally been a great run. However, still not knowing who the main villain is this late in the game, coupled with the many bait and switches has been rather annoying. 4/5

New powers means a new dynamic for the father/son duo, who have had problems with their relationship in the past. Being able to fly, having super speed, and super strength has made Damian feel more invincible than ever and if you take into consideration the fact that he just cheated death, Damian is feeling almost immortal. Luckily that’s not the case and we’re finally starting to see that there are limitations to his new powers. Damian’s reintegration back into the DCU is going rather well and it’s nice to see Batman immediately including Damian on things like going to the Watchtower to work with Superman and Shazam, which should do wonderful things for Damian’s growth. 4.5/5

I really can’t get enough of Damian! The father/son dynamic is great in this series and I’m sure he’s my favorite Robin after Grayson.
