With the end of the first year slowly nearing, another of one of Batman’s illustrious enemies has made his appearance. Unlike the majority of Gotham’s criminals Ra’s al Ghul’s power and reach spans across the globe. His criminal and business ties essentially make him one of the most powerful men in the world, potentially the most powerful man in the world if not for his obsession with all things Batman, which brings us here. With more and more information coming in, Batman is convinced Ra’s is the mastermind villain behind everything. Meanwhile, across Gotham, Spoiler is convinced Bruce Wayne is the mastermind. 45 issues in and the writers have given us villain after villain, each appearing to be the mastermind, only to have later been revealed as not the mastermind. This series has been a roller coaster ride of action and adventure and with 7 issues still left to go, it’s definitely a possibility that Ra’s is just another player in this war on Batman. No matter the case, these final issues, if the the series so far is a good judgement, are guaranteed to keep you at the edge of your seat. 4/5
