Chirpin’ Tuesday Reviews 12/30/15

Batman & Robin Eternal #13 (DC)
Arnab: Halfway through and almost no questions have been answered. But, this issue was still very good.
Martin: 4/5 stars. We hit the halfway point in the series & it seems there is so much left to explore.

Batman Europa #3 (DC)east of west 23
Martin: 4/5 stars. An interesting change in art this issue, and a bit more depth to the Batman/Joker relationship.

Captain America: White #5 (Marvel)
Martin: 4/5 stars. The art’s the true star here. Storywise, it’s a nice nostalgic tale but doesn’t offer much that’s new

Doctor Fate #7 (DC)
Martin: 3.5/5 stars. The quirky art style saves this book, but the story does look to be taking a turn coming next issue.

East of West #23 (Image)
Arnab: Hot damn, that was a fantastic issue.
Martin: 4/5 stars. A complete change from last month’s issue – lots of character work, mainly with Chamberlain and John Freeman.

Flash #47 (DC)
Arnab: This whole arc was kinda meh. Not bad, but not particularly riveting.
Martin: 3.5/5 stars. The end of the most recent arc, and no pun intended, but it seems a little rushed. Looking forward to something new.

Justice League #47 (DC)superman and lois 3
Martin: 4/5 stars. Things pick up a bit more with this opening act to the 3rd and last part of the Darkseid War story.

Lazarus #21 (Image)
Martin: 4/5 stars. So much happening as this latest arc comes to a close, but the best comes in the cliffhanger in the last few pages.

Superman: Lois & Clark #3 (DC)
Martin: 3.5/5 stars. Jurgens really has a great handle on the classic Pre-New 52 Superman, but the story’s a bit choppy.

Superman / Wonder Woman #24 (DC)
Martin: 3/5 stars. Another DC arc ending this week, but this one falls a bit flat, especially after last month’s issue.
