The entirety of Gordon’s run as Batman can easily be summed up with, so much happens while simultaneously, nothing happens. On the Bruce Wayne front, Bruce manages to toss out all reasoning and proposes to Julie Madison, regardless of the fact that he only recently lost all of his memory. This relationship has felt like it has moved too quickly from the moment Julie was introduced and this issue only proves that. On the Gordon front, considering he confronts Mr. Bloom twice, very little comes from those meetings. Mr. Bloom is building up to be yet another fascinating villain based in Gotham. He’s creepy, chaotic, and at the same time completely in control. He’s a wonderful villain, it’s just a shame he doesn’t have a better Batman to deal with. 3/5

Red Hood / Ared hood arsenal 6rsenal #6
Writer: Scott Lobdell
Artists: Denis Medri and Blond
Cover Artists: Howard Porter and Hi-Fi
Publisher: DC

Just when you thought that this series couldn’t get any weirder, it does. After putting down one of the most ugliest villains, Underbelly, the duo barely get a moment to breathe before being ambushed by a team of second rate criminals. And to top it all off, Joker’s Daughter decides to enter the fray and manages to get a place on team Red Hood/Arsenal. Joker’s Daughter, self-proclaimed that is, is arguably the most random character to introduce to the series. However, if you’ll recall Grant Morrison’s run on Batman and Robin, there was a character named Scarlet who was the Red Hood’s sidekick, who looks eerily like Joker’s Daughter, so perhaps this is her. That being said, if it is not in fact her, then this is a rather strange turn of events in a book filled with unnecessary strange events. 3/5

Haven’t been reading Batman since the beginning of Zero Year. So now Gordon is “Batman”? Call me when it’s over, please.
