CHIRPBANNER1

12 Reasons To Die #3 (Black Mask Studios)
Infinite Speech: That was one messed way to die! Great combo of horror and crime from once again!

Action Comics #23.1 (DC)
NickZ: Learn all about the screwed up origin of the new 52’s Cyborg Superman.

anxm 16All-New X-Men #16 (Marvel)
Arnab: Yes, yes yes. This issue was awesome. Also, in every point in time, Beast is an idiot, why won’t they just kill him off already?
Infinite Speech: Once again a problem that could have been solved had Scott and Jean NOT been idiots.
Jeff: I’m really digging the future X-Men. Loved this issue even more than part 1!
NickZ: The past, present, and future collide as Battle for the Atom rages on! The reveal at the end of this issue was perfection! Bendis is genius!

Batman #23.1 (DC)
Arnab: Uh.No.
Jeff: This was a waste. Who cares about the Joker’s monkey?
NickZ: Some old Joker story about him raising a monkey. (No Joke) What this has to do with Forever Evil is quite literally beyond me?

Batman Black & White #1 (DC)
Martin: Spectacular art and stories from some of the industry’s best… what’s not to like?

Batman: Detective Comics #23.1 (DC)
NickZ: While Batman is away, Poison Ivy brings her own unique brand of justice to Gotham with some very revealing flashbacks layered in between.

Batman The Dark Knight #23.1 (DC)
NickZ: Learn the origin of the new lady Ventriloquist in this issue! She is quite disturbed and I’m still not clear on her abilities.

Batman and Robin #23.1 (DC)
NickZ: This was the best of these “Villain” books to come out this week. Two Face seems to shine whenever Batman is away from Gotham.

chew 36Chew #36 (Image)
Arnab: I don’t know how they do it, but Layman and Guillory are perfect together, every single issue.
Jeff: The stuff that Layman and Guillory create never ceases to amaze me.
NickZ: Only Chew could have an issue #29.5 in the middle of issue #36 and make it work. Brilliant and hilarious!

Codename: Action #1 (Dynamite)
Martin: A fun, Cold War era spy story, ala “James Bond” with all the requisite tropes: cars, tech, & femme fatales.

DC Universe vs Masters of the Universe #1 (DC)
Infinite Speech: Never saw this coming in a million years and yet it’s starting off as a damn good event!

Deadpool kills Deadpool #3 (Marvel)
NickZ: If you’ve ever wanted to see every character in the Marvel Universe “Deadpoolized”, then this is the book for you!

Emerald City of Oz #3 (Marvel)
Jeff: As great as Skottie Young’s art is, this story is not doing much for me.

Forever Evil #1 (DC)
Arnab: Not too shabby there. Bummer about Dick though.
Martin: A decent beginning to the mini-series with some good art and an interesting twist to a character Didio hates.
NickZ: The New 52’s first major crossover has begun and it’s off to a pretty good start. I hope we get to see some great developments from Lex before this event is over.

Hit #1 (BOOM!)
Infinite Speech: Noir done right and cool!

Infinity #2 (Marvel)
Arnab: Medusa is all kinds of badass in this issue.
Infinite Speech: Hickman is writing an Avengers story that we’d love to see on the big screen!
Jeff: I wish they had put either Jerome Opena or Dustin Weaver on this book, not both.

invincible 105Invincible #105 (Image)
Dr. Bustos: What could go wrong with exiling a former murder king?
NickZ: The only 2 things you need to know about Invincible are that Robert Kirkman writes a kick ass story every month and Ryan Ottley’s art is spectacular!

Invincible Universe #6 (Image)
NickZ: This is like the Avengers and Justice League if they didn’t suck.

Justice League #23.1 (DC)
NickZ: It’s the Darkseid origin story that…somebody’s been waiting for? It also has nothing to do with Forever Evil.

Justice League of America #7.1 (DC)
NickZ: The anti-Batman origin of Deadshot.

Mocking Dead #1 (Dynamite Entertainment)
Infinite Speech: I laughed then turned the page and laughed some more!

Quantum and Woody #3 (Valiant)
Dr. Bustos: This villain team seems really freaking creepy.

Spawn #235 (Image)
Infinite Speech: McFarlane and Kudransky do nothing but deliver excellence issue after issue!

The Star Wars #1 (Dark Horse)
Infinite Speech: It’s nice to see this finally brought to fans like this instead of just the bits and pieces we’ve seen over the decades.
Jeff: Seeing a different take on the Star Wars mythos is fun, and Mayhew’s art is killer!
NickZ: Definitely a must read for any hard core Star Wars fan! Very interesting stuff! Daddy like.

The Superior Foes of Spider-Man #3 (Marvel)
NickZ: The villain version of the Hawkeye book continues to be just as entertaining. Villain support group anyone?

Superior Spider-Man #17 (Marvel)
Dr. Bustos: 2099 is cool but it bums me out when it’s THE future of present day Marvel cause it feels like it was all for nothing.
Infinite Speech: This arc is going to be sooo good!
Jeff: Miguel meets Otto…I can’t wait to see the sparks fly!
NickZ: A million 90’s kids just jizzed in their pants over this issue. Dan Slott is a genius, a mad genius perhaps, but a genius nonetheless.

Superman #23.1 (DC)
NickZ: The Bizarro origin story that really isn’t even a Bizarro origin story. Confused? So was I.

Uber #5 (Avatar)
Martin: The end of the first story arc takes us to the Battle of Paris the 1st case of enhanced humans fighting enhanced humans.

Venom #40 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Venom has a sidekick? Now this should be interesting and by “interesting” I mean fun!

Witchblade #169 (Top Cow)
Infinite Speech: Nice little wrap up to Seeley’s arc and his time on the title.

xfactor 262X-Factor #262 (Marvel)
Arnab: Oh X-Factor, you will be missed. I really wished the final arc would have more group interaction, but I love that it ended with Layla and Jamie.
Jeff:
Well, that was completely disappointing. Adios, X-Factor!
NickZ: X-Factor ends without much fan fair. David just takes us out nice and quietly. His run on this book was consistently good and it will be missed.

X-Men: Battle of the Atom #1 (Marvel)
Arnab: Are they going to clarify whether this future is different than the one being referenced in Cable and the X-Men?
Infinite Speech: Great start for the new event and once again it solidifies why Scott & Jean are my least two favorite X-Men. Ever.
Jeff: I’m a sucker for an X-Men event. The stakes are high, the teams are gathering, and things are awesome!
NickZ: I have high hopes this maybe the X-Men crossover we’ve been waiting for and I have a feeling it will be well worth the wait!

X-Men Legacy #16 (Marvel)
NickZ: Legion comes to claim retribution on Cyclops for the death of his father. How does he purpose to do this? No-powers fist fight of course!
