All-New Captain America #3 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: That last page was pretty intense and I hope it doesn’t mean what I think it means.
Autumnlands: Tooth & Claw #4 (Image)
Infinite Speech: This is one of the most beautifully drawn comics out RIGHT NOW and the story isn’t half bad either!
Batgirl #39 (DC)
Arnab: I feel like other Batgirl is going to be an AI.
NickZ: I know it’s not going to happen but I secretly want that other Batgirl to somehow be Oracle.
Batman Eternal #46 (DC)
Arnab: Are we ever going to find out who’s behind all this? Because this is getting ridiculous.
Martin: 3/5 stars. A bunch of rotating artists doesn’t help this issue. I’m a bit tired of being teased with who the BBEG is.
NickZ: Seeing Batman lose it in front of Ra’s was very interesting.
Batman and Robin #39 (DC)
Arnab: When do we get the “Robin and …” book we all want. First guest spot goes to Shazam.
Infinite Speech: The art could have been better towards the end but Damian is still one great Robin!.
Martin: 4/5 stars. Tomasi really knows how to write the relationship between Bruce & Damian. It’s refreshing to have that back.
NickZ: There needs to be a Shazam/Robin team-up book where Damian is just a dick to Billy.
Batman Superman #19 (DC)
Arnab: I thought Lois was an Asian boy for a second and that really threw me off.
Martin: 3.5/5 stars. Not quite up with Pak’s best, but still an interesting story. Too many inkers sully Syaf’s penciling.
NickZ: Not a fan of Kandor stories but I did like the part when Superman explains to Lois that she can’t go on the mission but Batman can, because…”He’s Batman.”
Bitch Planet #3 (Image)
Infinite Speech: Penny Rolle gets an origin story already and it’s an emotionally intense issue!
Buffy the Vampire Slayer #12 (Dark Horse)
NickZ: Two major things FINALLY happen for long time Buffy fans! One involves Andrew and the other, Buffy and Spike.
Captain America & The Mighty Avengers #5 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: This issue was really good. Then it wasn’t.
Deadly Class #11 (Image)
NickZ: Things get so f***ed up! This series is so insanely good! I cannot wait 60 more days!
Earth 2 World’s End #20 (DC)
Martin: 2/5 stars. This continues to be a mess. So many inconsisencies & non-sensical plotlines. Don’t start if you haven’t by now.
Invincible #117 (Image)
NickZ: I love how they revisited all those old characters before Mark and Eve made their big move. Also the entire comic book store scene was hilariously perfect.
Iron Fist: The Living Weapon #9 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Karre Andrews is making Iron Fist his own and you should seriously check it out!
IX Generation #2 (Top Cow)
Infinite Speech: THAT was one hell of a cliffhanger! Didn’t see it coming one bit!
Justice League #39 (DC)
Martin: 4/5 stars. Really great Fabok art and a focus on Wonder Woman in some cool scenes where she holds off the entire League.
NickZ: My favorite Justice League moments are when Wonder Woman goes full on Amazon and kicks ass all day long.
Legendary Star-Lord #9 (Marvel)
NickZ: Gamora needs to find her chill trying to kill Jean Grey like that!
Loki Agent of Asgard #11 (Marvel)
NickZ: Poor Loki, dude can’t catch a break. Literally his own worst enemy.
Lumberjanes #11 (Boom!)
NickZ: More awesome misadventures with the coolest chicks in comics. Everyone needs some Lumberjanes in their life.
Magneto #15 (Marvel)
NickZ: Magneto is at his best when he is being his evil, misguided self. This darker version is my favorite.
Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man #10 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Can’t get enough of this series and the art Marquez brings to it!
Moon Knight #12 (Marvel)
NickZ: Marc Spector proves once more why he is worthy of being Moon Knight.
MPH #5 (Image)
Infinite Speech: Millar and Fegredo started this series out great and ended it the same way!
Multiversity: Mastermen #1 (DC)
Infinite Speech: Remember that story where Superman was raised in Russia? Here he’s raised in Germany during WWII. Yawn.
Martin: 4/5 stars. Intriguing concept but slightly misses the mark. Lee makes “interesting” art choices (Batman’s legs!)
Red Hood and the Outlaws #39 (DC)
NickZ: Be an enemy of the Outlaws for a while and you’ll end up on their team.
Rocket Raccoon #8 (Marvel)
NickZ: This issue was so much fun, “I may have just terrified in my pants.” Also, we need more of Jink because she is such a badass!
Sensation Comics #7 (DC)
NickZ: Everyone needs to be reading Sensation Comics for the awesome Wonder Woman stories and great messages on social issues. Amy Chu and Bernard Chang’s story had me tearing up.
Silk #1 (Marvel)
NickZ: Thompson wrote a pretty good story for the first issue and I love Stacey Lee’s art. I’m definitely on board for the second issue.
Storm #8 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Picking a fight with Storm doesn’t work out well for those that do. This is one of the better issues in the series so check it out.
NickZ: I loved the cover and the issue did a good job of connecting all the past stories together but it’s still nothing phenomenal.
Superman Wonder Woman #16 (DC)
Martin: 3.5/5 stars. Great Mahnke art & a Wonder Woman focus are the high points, but WW’s characterization is a bit off.
NickZ: I think the Superman/Wonder Woman relationship has run it’s course.
Teen Titans #7 (DC)
NickZ: The team seems to be getting their act together and this series is getting better and better.
Uncanny X-Men #31 (Marvel)
Arnab: Xavier hides a dangerous mutant child from the world, the kid kills a bunch of people, SHIELD kills a bunch of people, Xavier wipes that kid from existence, but Cyclops is the bad guy?
Infinite Speech: I knew the events wouldn’t hold but I’m not upset with the way things played out or the threat to Cyclops.
NickZ: I am so sick of Cyclops getting blamed for things that are not his fault! WTF!?!
Unity #15 (Valiant)
Infinite Speech: One of the best team books impresses with every issue!
Wolverines #7 (Marvel)
NickZ: Mystique is the most interesting character in this bunch so now that she’s running the show I have high hopes for what comes next.
Wonder Woman #39 (DC)
NickZ: Holy F****! This book is soooo good! Mrs. and Mr. Finch are killing it with each issue!
