Action Comics #25 (DC)
Martin: So glad I gave this a chance. Story & art are superb. Pak might turn me into a regular reader.

Alex + Ada #1 (Image)
Infinite Speech: Alex has THE BEST Grandmother in comics!
Jeff Lake: Slow lead in to an intriguing concept. I’m definitely interested.

amazing x 1Amazing X-Men #1 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: I’m glad he’s back but Marvel spoiled this so long ago that without the element of surprise it’s just an “okay” issue.

Batman/Superman #5 (DC)
Martin: Pak tries, but fails, to emulate some of the fun stories from the previous Bats/Supes run. It doesn’t work.

Batman Black & White #3 (DC)
Martin: Excellent art throughout. Storywise, Paul Dini delivers. Rina Hughes’ 1960s Batman story is insane!

Batwing #25 (DC)
Martin: Another Zero Year tie-in, w/ an equal focus on Luke Fox & his friend Russ, who teaches us that bullies are bad.

Detective Comics #25 (DC)
Martin: A nice peak into “Zero Year” Jim Gordon and the GCPD. Really great art and coloring.

Earth 2 #17 (DC)
Martin: Continues to be 1 of my fave DC comics. Scott’s art provides a nice sense of continuity for Taylor’s darker story.

east west 7East of West #7 (Image)
Arnab: What a tragic little story. I mean, a little weird calling that little boy, mom, but still soo damn good.
Jeff Lake: The Horsemen continue to be terrible, terrible children, and Death continues his journey. Love it.

Executive Assistant: Assassins #16 (Aspen)
Infinite Speech: Hernandez and Gunderson deliver a perfect jumping on point right here!

Forever Evil #3 (DC)
Arnab: This issue pretty much sets up the rest of the series. Good issue, had some faults though.
Jeff Lake: Any excuse to use the Rogues is fine by me. Still, feels its taking a while to really get anywhere.

Green Arrow #25 (DC)
Arnab: This “Zero Year” business is weird. Also, how the ef can a city be without electricity for a whole year?
Martin: This didn’t need the “Zero Year” tie-in at all, but it’s still a great story. Sorrentino continues to impress.

Longshot Saves the Marvel Universe #1 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: I’d rather break a mirror, walk under a ladder, and open an umbrella indoors than read this again.

Mighty Avengers #3 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Always good to see the Blue Marvel! Now I just want someone else to draw this book! Oh, and I like Wimberly’s Cotton Comes to Harlem homage cover!

painkiller 1Painkiller Jane: The Price of Freedom #1 (Icon)
Infinite Speech: So much fun in these pages and we should be glad Palmiotti brought her back!

Protectors Inc. #1 (Image)
Infinite Speech: Way too familiar set up and just not my cup of tea.

Quantum & Woody #5 (Valiant)
Infinite Speech: Okay, we get it. Woody is a #$ck so now can we move the story along?

Spawn #237 (Image)
Infinite Speech: McFarlane and Kudranski are the perfect team for what is one of the top titles on the shelves today!

The Star Wars #3 (Dark Horse)
Infinite Speech: Familiar yet different but is still one fun and exciting story!

Ten Grand #5 (Image)

Jeff Lake: C.P. Smith does a fine job, but no Ben Templesmith on art is a tough pill to swallow.
Martin: Despite a pretty drastic change in artistic style the story is still engaging. The 3-month gap between issues hurts.

transformers 1Transformers: Dark Cybertron #1 (IDW)
Infinite Speech: So…I was totally lost because I haven’t been reading the other Transformers titles but a LOT of stuff happened.

Trillium #4 (Vertigo)

Jeff Lake: Am I the only one frustrated with this series? I WANT to care…so far just don’t.

Trish out of Water #2 (Aspen)
Infinite Speech: Effectively has my attention and I want to see where this story goes!

Twelve Reasons To Die #4 (Black Mask)
Infinite Speech: Starks and the Black Suits bring the ruckus to the DeLuca family!

Uber #7 (Avatar Press)
Infinite Speech: Looks like we’ll be getting Colossus 2.0! Hope it ends better than the last attempt!

Victories #6 (Dark Horse)
Infinite Speech: Yeah, another good issue that you should be reading! It’s even got monkeys!

Earth 2 is one of the most enjoyable titles that I don’t think a lot of people are reading.
