Adventure Time #3 (Kaboom!)
Dr. Bustos: This one concludes the Lich story but leaves us with a cliffhanger even bigger than the last one! The power of teamwork is quite amazing. A
NickZ:
Great adaption of the TV show! So lumping awesome and hilarious!!

America’s Got Powers #1 (Image)
Arnab:
Wildly entertaining first issue. In just one book Jonathan Ross and Bryan hitch have whipped up a fantastic superhero universe. A

Avenging Spider-Man #6 (Marvel)
NickZ: I love the dynamic between Spidey, Daredevil, and Punisher.

Batgirl #8 (DC)
Arnab: And the death toll continues rising. A-
NickZ: The best issue so far! The story with Danny ‘The Weasel” Weaver was so touching, plus all the Gordon family stuff was great too!

Batman and Robin #8 (DC)
Andy: Court of Owls is cool and all, but this is Batman at his rawest and most primal. A
Arnab: Nice little story after the roller coaster ride of terror tat was this past arc. A
NickZ: This story had some of the best Bruce and Damian moments ever. It really cut to the heart of what their relationship is about.

Batwoman #8 (DC)
Arnab: And I officially can’t stand Kate Kane. B
Dr. Bustos: I question the time changes a lot in this one, some are said to be months apart but people talk as if they just happened, lot of exposition in this. That arrowhead is a deus ex machina. C+

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 9 #8 (Dark Horse)
NickZ: Season 9 is turning out to be even better than the last. The relationship between Buffy and Spike has never been better.

Deadpool #53 (Marvel)
Arnab: Deadpool may be featured in a bunch of books, but make no mistake, this is the best one. A
NickZ: Can’t wait to see how they are going to get ‘Pool out of this situation.

Fantastic Four #605
Arnab: Speaking as a reader that doesn’t particularly like the fantastic four, leaf of all the Thing, this was surprisingly touching and sad. A

Frankenstein: Agent of S.H.A.D.E. #8 (DC)
Dr. Bustos: This felt like the issue of Hellboy when he left the B.P.R.D. and it was depressing watching everything fall apart. B+

Legion Lost #8 (DC)
NickZ:
I found this issue enjoyable, even though I don’t normally read this book.

Mister Terrific #8 (DC)
Dr. Bustos: This is the end, I hope we get to see more of Michael Holt in other series, I guess I’ll have to check out Earth 2. B

The New Avengers #24 (Marvel)
NickZ: This was completely lame. Really should have come out before A vs. X.

Peter Panzerfaust #3 (Image)
Arnab: This my dear readers is the way to take a popular story and give it a new twist in the most brilliant manner.

Saga #2 (Image)
Arnab:
Following an amazing first issue, Vaughn and Staples do not miss a single beat with this intergalactic, sci-fi epic story.
Dr. Bustos:
This was a great follow up with some truly terrifying imagery. I’m finding all the characters interesting and the magic in this is fun to watch happen. A+

:
Vaughn and Staples have now proven that you can surprise fans of sci-fi and fantasy with new ideas, neck-break plot twists, and precision artwork. It’s not too late to jump onto the best comic on the stands.  A+
NickZ: This book is all kinds of awesome. They are building a great new world.

Scarlet Spider #4 (Marvel)
NickZ: I can’t overstate how great this book is. Yost and Stegman are making comic book gold here. Don’t miss it!

Secret Avengers #25 (Marvel)
Jeff: Who knew the original Human Torch was going to play such an important role in this? A
NickZ:
Lots of good stuff going on in this issue from Master Mold to Human Torch to the great stuff set up for future issues.

Superboy #8 (DC)
Arnab: Time after time Superboy proves that he may be just weeks old, but he’ll kick your ass anyway. B
NickZ: It’s cool that Superboy had to think of using his power in a new way to win his battle. Harvest is super creepy looking!

Uncanny X-Men #10 (Marvel)
Arnab:
It turns out that Captain America is a big old douchebag, but we knew that. #mutanthater A
Jeff
:
Unit may get my “rookie-villain-of-the-year” award! B
NickZ:
So much great stuff happening in this issue. Way better than Wolverine and the X-Men! FACT!

Wolverine #304 (Marvel)
Jeff:
Ok, Jason Aaron, I’m starting to think you’re not really leaving this book. B-
NickZ: A nice little epilogue to Jason Aaron’s run on this book. I only wish the art was better!

Nick, I can no longer talk to you. Wolverine & the X-Men is 10 times better than Uncanny.

    1. Arnab

I’m going to have to agree with Nick. Wolverine and the X-Men is fun, but it’s ridiculous. Nothing about that series makes sense. Warren is flying around NY stark naked an no one else notices? (oh and he’s lost his fortune, so who’s funding X-Force?) Kitty gets major pregnant major fast and doesn’t tell her doctor friend? (And let’s not get into the fact that she’s pregnant with Aliens.) Logan takes a student to a gambling establishment? Also, that series gives off the impression that whatever happens in that book, is confined to that book. Nothing really matters. After every issue I think, well that was a fun time in la la land with the kids, now it’s back to the adults.

    2. Nick

You mean 10 times more ridiculous! Uncanny X-Men is about the X-Men saving a world that hates and fears them. Wolverine and the X-Men is about random X-Men playing school. Everyone at the school is a hypocrite and the school has been attacked more times since it opened then Utopia ever was. How are the kids safer there?

I have to agree with Arnab and Nick, Jeff. Wolverine & The X-Men IS a FUN read, but it’s utterly rediculous. As fun a the read may be, I get severely irritated by books who don’t offer much to the main continuity. Take Wolverine’s legs for example. They’ve only been affected in this book.. nowhere else?! I know we shouldn’t nit pick about these things and just enjoy the read, but there are just certain things that simply make no sense. It’s like reading Jeph Loeb’s run on Hulk. Total disregard for whatever else is happening in the Marvel U.

With that said though, Wolverine & The X-Men is still a better book than Uncanny X-Men.
