Chirpin’ Tuesday Reviews 11/25/15

All-New Wolverine #2 (Marvel)all new wolverine 2
Infinite Speech: I feel like I read this before and Angel shows up to do what he does best. Transport.

Angela: Queen of Hel #2 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Bennett knocks out another fantastic issue and I’m loving the relationship between Sera and Angela!

Aquaman #46 (DC)
Arnab: Batman would never annihilate another world if it was full of innocents, wtf?

Batman & Robin Eternal #8 (DC)
Arnab: Realistically speaking, none of the Robins could be Mother-Made, because there just isn’t enough time for that.
Infinite Speech: I’m not having as much fun now. Hopefully it picks up.
Martin: 3.5/5 stars. Some really great Dick Grayson moments as he interacts with the very strange & mysterious Mother.

Dark Knight III: The Master Race #1 (DC)
Infinite Speech: Not seeing what the hype was about because this almost put me to sleep.
Martin: 5/5 stars. A great beginning to a hopefully ambitious sequel to the last lackluster chapter. Fantastic ending!

Darth Vader #13 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Gillen & Larroca deliver a great Vader ass kicking sequence in this issue!

The Fade Out #11 (Image)
Martin: 5/5 stars. With only one issue left, the big murder mystery plot is finally coming together. Fantastic art, as always.

Flash #46 (DC)
Arnab: Even without his lackeys, I don’t see how Flash can defeat Thawne.
Martin: 3.5/5 stars. I liked the multi-character fight toward the end, but I’m still not buying how the CCPD turned on Barry so quickly.

He-Man: The Eternity War #12 (DC)eternity war 12
Infinite Speech: We get a look at the classic He-Man as Hiss’s plans come closer to completion.

JLA #5 (DC)
Martin: 3/5 stars. I really like Martian Manhunter, but this is a JLA book. This should have been a 1-off chapter of MM’s own title.

Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur #1 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Montclare & Reeder will make you instantly love Lunella! Great first issue and I’m on board to see where this goes.

Postal #8 (Top Cow)
Infinite Speech: This is what you should be reading if you’re a fan of thrillers and smart writing!

Robin: Son of Batman #6 (DC)
Arnab: Dude. Baby Goliath. T.T
Infinite Speech: That panel with Robin and Goliath was just a kick in the feels!
Martin: 3.5/5 stars. A decent close to the first arc with some touching moments between Damian, Maya, and Goliath.

Spawn #258 (Image)
Infinite Speech: Seeing Erik Larson’s work took me back and the issue was great for it!

Superman #46 (DC)
Martin: 3.5/5 stars. Gene Yang’s arc has been interesting so far, & Porter’s art looks great. I’m just not a fan of the villain, HORDR

Superman/Wonder Woman #23 (DC)
Martin: 3/5 stars. There’s some great artwork in this, but the story has quite a few holes & characters are 1-dimensional

Superman: Lois & Clark #2 (DC)
Martin: 3.5/5 stars. This second issue shows a lot of promise for the series and begins developing the overall story.

Switch #2 (Top Cow)
Infinite Speech: Sejic is on fire with this series and it’s only the second issue! Pick it up!

Venom: Space Knight #1 (Marvel)witchblade 185
Infinite Speech: I gave it a chance and actually had fun with this one. The costume redesign is pretty cool too.

We Are Robin #6 (DC)
Arnab: I think it’s hilarious that Gordon/Batman denounces the vigilantes, include these Robins, as if his entire career hasn’t been reliant on the help of vigilantes. And by hilarious, I mean ridiculous.
Infinite Speech: A smaller cast results in another great issue in the series. Hopefully this trend continues.
Martin: 3/5 stars. I really like the idea of this series, & the art, but the characters really need more development to stand out.

Witchblade #185 (Top Cow)
Infinite Speech: It’s the end of an era but a hint of something new on the way. A definite grab for longtime fans of the series.
