Welcome to Chirpin’ Tuesday Reviews! Here you can find out what we here at ComicAttack.net thought of this past week’s new books in 140 characters or less! Make sure to come back each week to see what we have to say about the latest comics!
28 Days Later #12 (BOOM!)
Decapitated Dan: What’s that? Another amazing issue? HELLZ YEAH IT WAZ!
Amazing Spider-Man #635 (Marvel)
Aron: I am LOVING “Grim Hunt”! The most dark and sinister a Spidey tale has been since McFarlane’s “Torment”!
American Vampire #4 (Vertigo)
Andy: So f-ing awesome!
Aron: Slowed down a bit, but still solid. I hope there is a moon next issue.
Avengers #2 (Marvel)
Andy: An awesome last page made up for the overdone dialogue.
Aron: WTF!?
Infinite Speech: Wonder Man finally got a hair cut! Bendis greatly improves with this issue over the last one.
Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne #3 (DC)
Andy: My favorite issue of this mini so far. Superb story telling. A+ all around.
Aron: Not a bad issue for once. Edward James Olmos was one of Blackbeard’s men for a minute. I don’t agree with the character in the end being in Batman’s continuity. Not. One. Bit.
Bullet to the Head #1 (Dynamite Entertainment)
Andy: I enjoyed it but something felt…off.
Detective Comics #866 (DC)
Aron: Complete and total HORSECRAP! Flashbacks were cartoony CRAP! Switching narratives the way O’Neil did was CRAP! Why bring up The Order of St. Dumas though?
Fringe: Tales from the Fringe #1 (Wildstorm)
Decapitated Dan: Big let down for me. I was expecting something better.
Green Arrow #1 (DC)
Andy: A great issue, even if it was a little wordy.
Aron: Another great start showing a lot of promise to be awesome. Much like “Quiver” did and was.
Green Hornet #5 (Dynamite)
Aron: You need your seat belt for this one. It’s a wild ride!
Infinite Speech: I get the feeling with this series Kato is gonna be runnin’ things!
Green Lantern Corps #49 (DC)
Andy: Johnny boy! NOOOOOOOOO!!!
Aron: Sora is hot! That’s all I’ve got to say. This issue was screwy weird.
Infinite Speech: I was sooooo right when I called the main villain on this one!
Hulk #23 (Marvel)
Aron: It’s ALL explained. Good issue! Great art done by a long list of great Hulk artists past and present!
Joe the Barbarian #6 (Vertigo)
Andy: If you’ve been skipping out on this one, definitely give the TPB a look. I think you’ll like it.
Jurassic Park: Redemption #1 (IDW)
Andy: The story was ok, but what the F was up with the art? A pile of T-Rex turds looks better.
Justice League: The Rise of Arsenal #4 (DC)
Andy: A cool issue, but why was Ollie acting like Mr. Good Guy when he just killed Prometheus?
Infinite Speech: Roy is one tough crack head! Still not sold on Ollie’s sudden change of view but we’ll see.
Kato: Origins # 2 (Dynamite)
Infinite Speech: A deeper look at Kato proves to be more exciting than one might think.
Predators #3 (Dark Horse)
Infinite Speech: Definitely worth a look at if you’re a fan of the franchise.
Superman #700 (DC)
Aron: I really liked this issue and I’m incredibly picky when it comes to Supes. I like where it’s headed. LOVED Dan Jurgens’ story! Very cool!
Thunderbolts #135 (Marvel)
Aron: Awww, man! This issue wasn’t near as fun and exciting as last issue.
Decapitated Dan: What did you people do to my U.S. Agent! Other than that I don’t know, maybe another issue or two before I decide, it’s okay so far.
Infinite Speech: After reading last weeks Cap issue it spoiled things for this one here, thanks again Marvel.
Ultimate Avengers 2 #4 (Marvel)
Andy: Not the best issue of this mini…but Ghost Rider is bad ass.
Aron: Just when I thought this series was awesome…wtf is up with Spidey? What did I miss? Can someone answer that?
Decapitated Dan: Bout time something picked up since issue #1. Good issue here, I think it will fizzle out in the the end of this mini though.
Wolverine Origins #49 (Marvel)
Jeff: I hate hallucinations and dream sequences. What started as a great issue about Logan and Nick Fury hanging out turned into a crapfest.
Wolverine Weapon X #14 (Marvel)
Jeff: This story got really confusing. The jumping back and forth between times didn’t help. Garney’s art looked a little rushed here.
X-Factor #206 (Marvel)
Andy: Um, well that ending was…abrupt.
Infinite Speech: Well I guess Trask is taken care of. Decent issue overall though the ending was a bit corny.
Jeff: Shoehorn anyone? Can’t wait to get back to a non-tie-in X-Factor issue.
X-Men Legacy #237 (Marvel)
Andy: Hey Hope, CHILL THE HELL OUT!
Aron: Wolverine is off gallivanting with two other Avengers teams. I know he won’t get stuck in the future. Duh!
Infinite Speech: Damn!
Jeff: Just when things get really good…they get really, really boring. This issue was a letdown.
Zatanna #2 (DC)
Andy: Waaaaay better than issue #1. If you were on the fence about checking this one out, just pick up issue #2 and you’ll be fine.
Aron: I think I’m in love! Tahw srekconk!
