Martin: 4/5 stars. I really like these 1-off origins about heroes shouldn’t work, but do. Ex-con merges with stolen Corgi dog? Win!
Bane Conquest #5 (DC)
NickZ: So is this Bane and Catwoman’s first meeting? Either way she made him look like a chump as usual!
Batman #30 (DC)
Arnab: If you’ve never heard of Kite Man, you’re probably not alone, but after you read this issue, you’ll certainly care about him.
Martin: 4/5 stars. It’s a great creative team that can make you care about a character like Kite Man. Hell yeah!
NickZ: “The Ballad of Kite Man” is one of the best dark comedies you will read. Hilarious and deeply tragic. Bravo!

NickZ: A great issue that gives you an unfettered look at what it’s like to be Scott Summers.

Infinite Speech: I’m still ticked at how they did Kirak but this is one intense journey for a lightsaber!
Deathstroke #23 (DC)
Infinite Speech: Christopher Priest is doing some amazing things on Deathstroke and there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be reading this title!

NickZ: I’ve heard of animal lovers but this is ridiculous!
Generation X #6 (Marvel)
NickZ: Quentin drags the boys into some of his usual shenanigans and ends up running into a blast from the X-Men’s past!
Green Arrow #30 (DC)
Martin: 3.5/5 stars. The 9th circle excuse for matching Ollie w/ various JL heroes is a bit thin, but teaming him with Hal is fun.
Green Lanterns #30 (DC)
Martin: 3/5 stars. To me, the core of this book is the relationship between Simon & Jess, & that’s been missing for a few issues
Hawkeye #10 (Marvel)
NickZ: Madame Mask has gone too far making Kate look bad, well she looked good but bad!
Iceman #5 (Marvel)
Arnab: This issue, this series, this is everything Bobby Drake has ever deserved but wasn’t given until now.
NickZ: Such an emotionally powerful issue! I loved the way the action mirrored Bobby’s words in his letter.
Iron Fist #7 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Brisson should give us a proper Shang Chi vs Iron Fist issue now! This is shaping up to be some of the best Iron Fist we’ve seen in a while.
Journey to Star Wars the Last Jedi: Captain Phasma #1 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Phasma is implementing the number one rule of the Empire: CYA! (Cover Your Ass)
Martin: 4/5 stars. Intriguing look adding depth to a character that was under-utilized in Force Awakens. Solid art.

Martin: 3.5/5 stars. Feels a bit like a “filler” arc. Decent premise of Superman having to deal with fear, but he beats it too easily.
NickZ: The embodiments of hope and fear face off and it is good!

NickZ: That Spidey-Venom was talking all kinds of mess about Eddie and looked what happened!
Venomverse War Stories #1 (Marvel)
NickZ: Lots of really fun stories in this one, my favorites were Black Panther Venom and Doctor Doom Venom!
