Retail Price: $99.99

Packaging: The box front has a picture of the Zatanna statue with the image of the cover in yellow to orange fade behind her. On the left and right sides of the box are different facial shots of the statue, and on the back is the statue near the lower right corner with the full color cover art in the upper left. On the lower left of the box is what is coming soon (Catwoman and Black Canary are pictured) and who is already out (Wonder Woman).

Assembly: None! Just take her out of the protective styrofoam and display her!

zatanna003 The statue: Our favorite Mistress of Magic stands 10” tall and is hand-painted cold cast porcelain. The paint job on mine is flawless, which is incredible. There is no paint bleeding! Also the paint chosen really makes her look good. There is a matte black for her tuxedo coat and top hat, but the ribbon around the hat and her jacket lapels are slightly glossy. Her white shirt is matte, but her golden buttons are glossy. It’s details like that that give her an elegant appearance. Another fantastic point is, unlike her overly busty comic cover image, Zatanna’s proportions are much more realistic. She is holding her top hat and cane and the wonderful thing is, the cane curve is flexible, so if it gets caught on something, hopefully you catch it in time before it snaps off. Some people may ask where her usual fishnets are, but on the Catwoman #58 cover, she isn’t wearing any, so don’t expect them! Her base is a really simple black circle with her name in her familiar script in purple outlined in white.

Rating: 5 of 5. Flawless paint job, beautiful sculpt, fantastic size, there really is no problem with this statue. I found mine for $89 at my LCS, so keep an eye out as some stores do have a lower price on these.
