A Bob Howard: Plumber Of The Unknown Christmas Free E-Comic!

PLEASE ENJOY BOB HOWARD: SLAY BELLS FOR FREE!

Rafael Nieves and Dan Dougherty, creators of the wildly successful BOB HOWARD: PLUMBER OF THE UNKNOWN (www.facebook.com/bob.howard.plumber) wanted to give their friends and fans something special for the holidays, so they created a Christmas story especially for them!

BOB HOWARD: SLAY BELLS is touted as a “Horrorday Tale” that features silent, everyman hero/plumber Bob Howard as a Sidewalk Santa who discovers that there’s a lot of Christmas spirit to be had, especially if you’re a demonic Santa hungry for souls!

Says Nieves (Hellstorm, Prince of Lies; The Phantom; Tales from the Heart), “Dan and I are so grateful to all the fans of Bob Howard, and it’s become so  popular because of their support, that we thought, why not give them a gift? So we created this special eight page story and presented it to them, to read for free!”

For a limited time, anyone can view this story, free of charge here.

Artist Dan Dougherty (Rotten; Beardo; Newton’s Law) was thrilled to have an opportunity to give back, and it shows in the art for SLAY BELLS: “Rafael told me to keep the art fairly clean and simple, since we both knew that it would be released for free and we had a bit of a time crunch, but anyone who knows me knows I don’t do anything clean and simple! I’m like Tina Turner that way; no ‘nice… and easy’ for me!”

The two creators, who have garnered much critical acclaim for their graphic novel THE APOCALYPSE PLAN (www.facebook.com/apocalypse.plan) have been pleasantly surprised by the reaction to Bob Howard. “Bob was meant to be a fun little romp into the world of Lovecraft and monster movies, and showcase a sort of Buster Keaton-kind of everyman hero, whose sole reason to exist is to eradicate all those little beasties that hide in the shadows, live in the sewers,” admits Nieves; “we never thought it would be more than a one-shot, but the response has been overwhelmingly positive that we are hard at work on the second issue of what we hope will be an ongoing title.”

BOB HOWARD: SLAY BELLS, A HORRORDAY TALE will be available to view for free until December 31.
