Slated to come out next Wednesday is a new Star Wars mini-series starring everyone’s favorite bounty hunters, Boba and Jango Fett, entitled Blood Ties! The series is written by Tom Taylor, with painted art by Chris Scalf. Check out some preview images of the series below:
Looks pretty bad ass, doesn’t it?
Here’s the solicit info from Dark Horse:
“Shortly before the start of the Clone Wars, Count Dooku sends Jango Fett on a mission that will affect the course of Boba Fett’s life some twenty years later. But for now, neither of them knows what the future holds in store, and besides, they have their schedule filled dodging monsters and fighting bad guys!”
To be honest, I could care about the plot as Scalf’s art is just so sick! Plus, Boba Fett is my favorite character in the Star Wars Universe (like a bazillion other fans), so I’ll read anything with him in it. Writer Tom Taylor is probably best known for his current runs on the Star Wars: Invasion series, which is set roughly 16 years after Return of the Jedi. Chris Scalf recently wowed fans with his work on Star Wars: Purge: The Hidden Blade back in April of this year. Here are some images to refresh your memory of that one-shot:
Yeah, his work is f-ing amazing.
So be sure to check out Star Wars: Blood Ties #1 in comic shops next Wednesday!

Wow! Scalf’s stuff is amazing, that man can paint. I’m not a Star Wars fan really at all, but this book is very beautiful, I may have to check it out.
Okay, I’m in! That Hidden Blade one shot was amazing and if he’s doing the Boba Fett/Jango Fett book I’ll definitely check it out. Though DH has ended one of the best SW titles in Legacy this definitely put a smile on my face.
