This weekend marks a grand event for anyone in the Dallas/Forth Worth (Texas) area. The Dallas Comic Con! Taking place throughout the weekend, May 19th and 20th, this event will play host to a slew of incredible guests. And yours truly! Which is the most important thing, of course. I’ll be there taking pictures and what not, so say hello if you see me.
Of course, if having me around isn’t enough for you, here’s a taste of the guests who will be attending: Patrick Stewart, Stan Lee, Adam West, Summer Glau, Burt Ward, Neal Adams, James Marsters, John de Lancie, Kevin Conroy, Peter Mayhew, Greg Horn, Jimmy Palmiotti, Sean McKeever, and many, many more!
Jeff Balke, who has on occasion done a little writing for us, will also be there! So make sure to show him some love!
Doors open Saturday morning at 11:00 am at the Irving Convention Center in down town Las Colinas. From 11-7, you can roam the expansive dealer room, shop to your heart’s content, have visiting artists sign your swag, attend Q&As with some of the guests, admire costumed fans, make new friends…. Then come back again on Sunday from 11-4 and do it all over again! Tickets are available at the door, and are $25 for Saturday, $20 for Sunday, $5 for kids aged 5-12, and free for kids under 5.
You can take a look at the program book, which lists the many, various guests, here, on the DCC Facebook page.
General information on DCC 2012 can be found on their website. (Where you can also find information about the Sci-Fi Expo and Star Wars Fan Days, which all take place at the Irving Convention Center throughout the year.)
Also, you may note, that I got lazy and made this super informative post in lieu of a manga review today. I’m a little busy getting ready for this weekend, so that’s my excuse. Anyway, if you’re in the area, come on out! There are all kinds of things to see and people to meet!

Kevin Conroy, Patrick Stewart, AND Kristin in the same building?!?!?!! Watch out Dallas!
Stan Lee is presenting this?
Um…I’m not sure? I think he’s just on there because he’s headlining it. I mean, there’d still be a con even if he wasn’t attending. He might be a major sponsor though; or well, his company. POW Entertainment.
