Tonight: Joe Benitez Signing Lady Mechanika #1 at Collector’s Paradise in Los Angeles!

Tonight from 5pm-8pm at Collector’s Paradise in Winnetka, CA (just outside of Los Angeles proper), writer/artist Joe Benitez will be signing copies of his new hit Steampunk book, Lady Mechanika #1, published by Aspen Studios!

Here’s what Edward Greenberg, the owner of Collector’s Paradise had to say about the event:
“Join us as we celebrate the release of Lady Mechanika #1 with the creator/writer/artist Joe Benitez! Lady Mechanika #0 has been one of the biggest successes of the year, selling out two consecutive printings and going into a third. Joe’s doing the best [work] of his amazing career, and we could not be happier than to share it with him. Joe’s been a long time customer and friend of Collector’s Paradise, and we are honored to premiere this book to the San Fernando Valley comic book fans.

In addition to issues #0 and #1, plus older Joe Benitez and Aspen Studios materials, we’ll be premiering our EXCLUSIVE PRINT of Lady Mechanika, limited to 25 hand numbered copies, signed by Joe and Peter Steigerwald. The prints will be available to purchase on a first come first served basis.”

Check out the aforementioned exclusive print that will be for sale:

Lady Mechanika is pure Steampunk and is totally bad ass. Read the solicit info from Aspen:

“The tabloids dubbed her ‘Lady Mechanika’, the sole survivor of a psychotic serial killer’s three-year rampage through London. Found locked in an abandoned laboratory amidst countless corpses and body parts, with her own limbs amputated and replaced with mechanical components, her life began anew.

With no memory of her captivity or her former life, Lady Mechanika eventually built a new life for herself as a private detective, using her unique abilities to solve cases the police couldn’t or wouldn’t handle. But, she has never stopped searching for answers. . . Now, brought into a case unlike any before, Lady Mechanika will have to rely on her advantage in all things occult and paranormal in order to solve the case and possibly unlock the secrets to her past!”

I need to get a teleporter just so I can make cool events like this! I really liked the zero issue that I I was able to pick up at NYCC and I’m looking forward to the series! 🙂
