Last week Dark Horse Comics released Aliens vs. Predator: Three World War and on the heels of this it has been announced that SEGA’s new Alien vs. Predator video game will be released in a Hunter Edition which will feature a newly recolored zero issue of the original Dark Horse series. For those that may have forgotten or don’t know, the original 4 issue mini series was built on a story that appeared in Dark Horse Presents way back in 1990. With a new cover by artist Raymond Swanland and colors by Wes Dzioba this limited edition hardcover should be spectacular!
It looks like 20th Century Fox and Dark Horse Comics are in full swing with the 30th anniversary of Alien and the 20th anniversary of Predator, giving each their own respective mini-series and now bringing them together in AvP: Three World War to battle it out. And to top it all off we get a new gen video game that allows the player to control an Alien, Predator, or the Colonial Marines to wage all out bloody war!
SEGA’s Aliens vs Predator: Hunter Edition hits stores February 16th for the Playstation 3 and XBox 360 video game systems. Along with the hardcover the Hunter Edition will also include early access to 4 multiplayer maps, a Weyland-Yutani sleeve badge, a 3D lenticular postcard, and a fully poseable face hugger model!
I’m pretty pumped for yet another great cover from Swanland but it’s even better that it’s a hardcover book. I’ve never picked up one of these special edition versions of games that have been coming out recently, but there just might be a spot on my shelf for the Alien vs. Predator: Hunter Edition!

The hardbound book is worth the price of admission alone! I’d really like to see more of these little books from Dark Horse. I’d be buying em’ up in a heart beat. It’s really sweet and sure to be a much sought after item.
