Earlier this week we made the ubiquitous discovery that DC Comics writer J.T. Krul is playing hockey in the NHL with the Minnesota Wild, under the guise of Owen Nolan. So how in the hay can he be appearing at a signing tonight at Collector’s Paradise in Los Angeles, when he and the Wild were just playing the San Jose Sharks in St. Paul at the Xcel Energy Center last night (the Sharks won 4-1)?!
It blows my mind.
However he does it, J.T. will be at Collector’s Paradise from 4pm-8pm tonight, signing copies of his work on the new The Rise of Arsenal mini-series (which debuts today!), and Green Arrow #30 + #31. Of course, if you want to bring your copies of Blackest Night: Titans, Blackest Night: Teen Titans, and Soulfire along as well, I’m sure he’d sign those too!
Having talked with J.T. a bunch of times about comics, hockey, and whatever else, there’s no question that he is one of the more outgoing and charismatic personalities in this business! Says the Collector’s Paradise press release, “J.T.’s career in comics is about to take a GIANT leap with this Green Arrow storyline and you can say you had met him right here! Plus, find out about JT’s new Creator-Owned book, MINDFIELD, as well as his awesome writing on Fathom and Soulfire!” Even though his current Green Arrow work with DC may be his grandest to date, Krul is no stranger to the game, having written such characters as the X-Men, Beach Head from G.I. Joe, and even Poison Ivy!
So be sure to stop by Collector’s Paradise this evening and meet J.T. Krul!
