Alpha Flight #7 (Marvel)
Capekiller: Better than the previous issues that’s for sure!

American Vampire #22 (Vertigo)
Arnab: When Snyder and Albuquerque get together, they create a comic book that has no equal. Hands down, the best issue of the week. Only the two of them could make you love a vampire killer, so soon after making you love vampires.
Capekiller: My first digital purchase for my iPad.  Really good story, but this medium will not be replacing paper for this guy….
Jeff: James Dean, Vampire Slayer? I love this concept!

Artifacts #12 (Top Cow)
Arnab: I don’t read much of the Top Cow universe, but if this series is any inclination to the rest of books, I’ve been missing out.
Infinite Speech: Huan’s artwork still doesn’t vibe with me but the ending to this issue definitely seems like a game changer for the Top Cow Universe!

Astonishing X-Men #45 (Marvel)
Capekiller: Yet another unconnected, meaningless, parallel universe X-story…..
Jeff: This could be stronger. Is anyone else sick of alternate X-Men?
NickZ: Interesting takes on the X-Men but this story just seems pointless.

Aquaman #4 (DC)
Arnab: Now, is what Aquaman did likened to killing off an entire population of animals? Or are these things comparable to humans or Atlanteans? Either way, who knew these heroes did such things?
Andy: Scott Snyder’s Batman is excellent and Justice League is the bomb, but I’ll be damned if Aquaman and Captain Atom aren’t my favorite two superhero books at DC right now.
Capekiller: Started out trying about 10 of the New 52.  This is the only one that made it through the first set of cuts!

Avengers the Children’s Crusade #8 (Marvel)
Andy: Still great as always, but I’m ready for it to end and to move on already.
Arnab: As late as this book has been, it is still one of the best books Marvel is putting out. The end is nigh and nothing will be the same.
Capekiller: Sad that this awesome series is almost over.
Jeff: More standing around and deciding what to do with Wanda. But Cheung’s double-page spreads of X-Men vs. Avengers are breathtaking.
NickZ: Even though this books takes years to come out, it is still one of the best Marvel has to offer. I can’t wait for the conclusion.

Batman The Dark Knight #4 (DC)
Arnab: Alfred and Batman having ice cream is just about the coolest thing ever.
NickZ: OK, this book can be ridiculous at times, but this issue had a great Alfred moment and the art is fantastic so it’s all worth it!

Black Panther: The Most Dangerous Man Alive #527 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Since the title is getting cancelled I guess no one cares about the art in the book. At least Liss’s story is still quality work.

Captain America #5 & #6 (Marvel)
Andy: Meh… Ever since coming back to life, this title has been dragging.

Deadpool #48 (Marvel)
NickZ: Daniel Way is nuts with some of the stuff he writes in this book but it’s either super awesome or it makes me laugh and I guess that’s the point.

Extinction Seed #1 (GG Studio)
Andy: Pretty art, but not my thing.

The Flash #4 (DC)
Arnab: This was a good issue, not the strongest, but good nonetheless.
NickZ: Even though Flash was only in this issue for 4 pages (and 2 weren’t even in costume!) I still enjoyed this book and Manapul’s art is sooo pretty.

Green Lantern New Guardians #4 (DC)
Andy: Pretty soon the Lanterns won’t even need a rogues gallery… they all just fight themselves. All the time. Over and over again.

I, Vampire #4 (DC)
Arnab: I’ve gotta say, I am loving this shapeshifting vampire.

Justice League Dark #4 (DC)
Andy: Milligan is doing a nice job with pacing and juggling what feels like a large cast. One of the surprise books for me of the New 52.

Kick-Ass 2 #6 (Icon)
Capekiller: Coming soon, a super hero throw down, Mark Millar style!

Mighty Thor #9 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: I haven’t had this much fun reading a Thor title in a long time. Kid Loki and Silver Surfer should hang out more often.

Star Trek Ongoing #4 (IDW)
Andy: A great take on one of my favorite episodes from the original series. Star Trek fans, do not pass on this series.

Superman #4 (DC)
NickZ: It’s official, this Superman book is just as lame as the old one. Why can’t anyone make this poor guy cool?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Micro-Series Michelangelo #1 (IDW)
Andy: This my friends, is why I read comics!
Arnab: If you’re missing out on anything joyful in your life, pick this up. The action, the story, the overall fun factor in this book is an example of what makes reading comics so different than everything else.
Infinite Speech: A pretty good New Year’s story with Mikey channeling his brothers to help him stop a crime!

Teen Titans #4 (DC)
Arnab: Bart and Tim are hilarious in this issue. It’s like we’re back in the olden days when all was good. Except for whatever reason Tim seems like an estranged Bat-family member.
NickZ: I can already tell that this Teen Titans team is going to be my favorite ever! Bart and Tim crack me up.

Uncharted #2 (DC)
Infinite Speech: MUCH better than the first issue as things pick up in this video game to comic adaptation.

Ultimate Comics X-Men #5 (Marvel)
Andy: Been there. Read that. Sometimes I feel like the only one not drinking the Nick Spencer kool-aid.
Jeff: Nick Spencer, please use some creativity on this book. PLEASE!

Uncanny X-Men #3 (Marvel)
Arnab: I am thoroughly enjoying this book. That showdown between the X-Men and the Celestials? Badassery at its finest. I mean, who are we kidding, the X-Men would wipe the floor with those Avengers.
Capekiller: Yaaay, the X-Men defeated Sinister at the World Fair.  I was sure he was going to win…….
Jeff: I hate this book. For so many reasons. Complete garbage.
NickZ: An ok start to this series. I don’t care who you are, that X-Men/Celestial face off was pretty darn awesome!

Venom #11 (Marvel)
Infinite Speech: Jack O Lantern’s origin tied up in one twisted buddy movie like story. Venom is definitely getting better with each issue!

Voodoo #4 (DC Comics)
Infinite Speech: A solid issue in a series that seems to be getting overlooked. Hope things stay this cool after the change in writers.

X-Men Legacy #260 (Marvel)
Arnab: Rogue chose Logan? Are we surprised? No. 1. This has carried Logan’s banner from the beginning. 2. Obviously, the two have a secret relationship going on. 3. Scott demoted her, clearly she’s displeased.
Andy: Why was this character brought back? A swan song that could have been more in tune with timing…
Capekiller: So Rogue finally decides between Cyclops and Wolverine…and I couldn’t be happier!
Jeff: So long, Mike Carey, too bad the editors made you write this drivel as your last X-Men book.
NickZ: Rogue just got on my nerves this whole issue. You’re not that important Sugah, and nobody cares what you have to say!
