As Sela and Belinda venture into Inferno to find the Dark One, we see the evil overlord himself hiding out in a seedy hotel with some whores. As he indulges in the pleasures of this world, a girl from room service is expected any moment, and soon arrives. The only problem is that the regular girl is hog-tied in a closet, and Mercy is now headed to the room. As the Dark One’s lackey leaves, Mercy then reveals herself, and tosses him out a window. Sela and Belinda then realize they have the right place. Sela tries to reason with Mercy, but it’s no use. She wants revenge, and she’ll do whatever it takes to get it. She slaps Belinda aside, then Sela as well. She then pulls out her weapon and fires multiple shots into the Dark One. She leaves as Sela is crying over the fact that she thinks she’ll never find her lost love, and also because the plot to stop the Dream Eater is now dead…or is it?
Wow, I really loved this issue. It had some funny moments, great action, and left me wondering what will happen in Inferno after all is said and done. Sela and Belinda make quite a team, but they weren’t ready for Mercy. She was just vicious, and it was cool to see the Dark One get whooped. Alex Sanchez did a pretty good job with the artwork, but there were a couple of panels that seemed a little off (page 6, an arm seemingly floating around?). Other than that, though, it was pretty solid. Rating 3.5/5
Grimm Fairy Tales: The Dream Eater Saga Conclusion

In this epic conclusion, we see the Dark One’s forces massing for an all out invasion to reclaim their master, Sela and Belinda trying to use the Dark One as bait to lure the Dream Eater into a trap, and also an old tale that shows one of Sinbad’s crew receiving a powerful gift that one day might save the world. Baba Yaga has assembled what she thinks is the perfect mix of warriors to exact this little scheme of hers. Little does everybody know that she really just wants to get her hands on the Dark One, and could care less about the Dream Eater killing everyone. I really want to tell you more, but this book is something you just have to read to get the full effect. Rest assured, you’ll get all you bargained for in this double-sized issue that’s full of action. You see an all out war between Baba Yaga’s forces and the Dark One’s army, a Djinn (genie) from a bottle battling the Dream Eater, three deaths (presumably), and Pan get his hand cut off by Sela!
I can’t say enough good things about this story. It didn’t seem like it was going to be possible to tie everything up at the end of this issue, but Gregory did a fine job. Plus, he left the door open as far as a few of the characters going forward as well, so look out for more stories and great action stemming from this crossover. There was some fantastic art in this book, as well. The double splash page with the Dream Eater, and then with the Djinn fighting him, were incredible! The colors by Balke were popping off the pages as usual, too! Great job by all the people involved with this one, and I for one can’t wait for it to be collected in trade to snatch them up. If you’ve never given Zenescope a try, definitely don’t hesitate. They’ve created a very different universe that is a game changer for the world of comic books! Rating 4/5
