Remember way back when we ran a feature on the site entitled The Wacky Month of Zen, where we spotlighted Steve Stern and Dan Cote’s creation, Zen Intergalactic Ninja?
Well good news Comic Attackers- Zen is back and he’s going to be at San Diego Comic Con! Check out the press release from Zen artist, Dan Cote:
“ZEN CO-CREATOR COTE UNVEILS “UNLIMITED 3D” POSTER AT SHOCKER TOYS BOOTH AT COMIC-CON
Zen Intergalactic Ninja’s Dan Cote has developed a new technique that expands the horizons of printed 3D, and he’ll be debuting it at this year’s Comic-Con.
“I call it ‘Unlimited 3D’ because the depth of field I’ve been able to achieve is visually startling,” he said. “I’ve always been fascinated with 3D comics, and wanted to see if I could take them to the next level. I’ll let the fans be the judge of that.”
The poster Cote and his Zen co-creator Steve Stern will be signing at Comic-Con features their blue-skinned alien hero, and is accompanied by a pair of 3D glasses.
“We’ll be signing a limited edition of 500 posters at the Shocker Toys booth on Friday from 2-3pm and Saturday from noon to 1pm,” Cote said.
In the meantime, Cote can be seen describing the process, and showing off some of his 3D handiwork, on YouTube.
Also on display at the Shocker Toys booth will be the company’s first action figure two-pack, featuring Zen and another iconic comic-book character.
