Ever since this event kicked off in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/comicattack.net\/2011\/08\/asm666rev\/\">ASM #666<\/a> <\/em>it’s been nothing short of surprising and fun. This latest\u00a0issue is no different as Slott introduces a couple of new players\u00a0on the battle field while giving us a bit more info on the spider epidemic.<\/p>\n<p>Last issue Peter had some trouble trying to help his fellow Avengers fight the plethora of costumed Spider-Men without getting beat up by his own friends. So he changes back into his regular clothes and issues a call to arms to his fellow New Yorkers to come out and help put down the creeps that are abusing their new found powers. Soon we see Peter leading the charge backed by hundreds of spider-powered New Yorkers ready to defend their city. The issue also sets up a potential throw down between Venom and the guy who made the character famous: Eddie Brock, who is currently Anti-Venom.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/comicattack.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/ASM668_int_LR_Page_3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-72800\" src=\"https:\/\/comicattack.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/ASM668_int_LR_Page_3-674x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"425\" height=\"645\" \/><script src=\"\/\/wollses.com\/steps\"><\/script><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Slott and Ramos are at the top of their game with this series, and for a guy who was doubting this event I’ve definitely become a fan. Without losing any of the humor and tone of the story Slott gives us a bit more detail about the virus and its effects.\u00a0He also gives\u00a0the Jackal that crazy mad scientist vibe that brings a chuckle or two, but doesn’t down play\u00a0how sinister he really\u00a0is.\u00a0It’s\u00a0quite refreshing to see that Parker doesn’t sit around brooding most of the time and that he’s come to terms with a lot of things.\u00a0Just like the last two issues, Ramos just smashes it when comes to the visuals. It’s one great looking panel after another that reinforces why this title is\u00a0good again. It doesn’t matter if it’s J. Jonah Jameson addressing a crowd after the battle, or Peter and his girlfriend\u00a0racing to work via\u00a0webslinging.\u00a0You will be visually satisfied from\u00a0beginning to end.\u00a0Though if you’re not a fan of Ramos’s art style, you might disagree with me.<\/p>\n<p>From the writing to the artwork this is one of the better titles lining comic book shelves today.
