Great moments involving Jefferson\/Black Lightning and Katana, as well as with Cassandra & Duke. The Cassandra parts of the story are the real draw here, but overall this is shaping up to be a strong arc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Black Panther and the Agents of Wakanda #2 (Marvel)<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Infinite Speech:<\/strong> Not sure where this is going but Jim Zub’s crazy space adventures with the most random team members has me hooked!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Black Hammer\/Justice League: Hammer of Justice #5 (DC)<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Martin:<\/strong> 4\/5 stars. I haven’t followed Lemire’s Black Hammer universe since the debut issues a few years ago, but this series has made me interested in checking it out again, which I supposed is the whole point.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Catwoman #17 (DC)<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Infinite Speech:<\/strong> Joelle Jones is carving out a nice spot for Catwoman that is all Selina! If you’re not reading this then start now!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Detective Comics #1015 (DC)<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Martin:<\/strong> 3\/5 stars. The characterization of Mr. Freeze is a bit better here – I like villains who are more complex vs mustache-twirling idiots. What is off is Nora’s characterization, although I suspect that has to do with Luthor’s “gift.”<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Event Leviathan #6 (DC)<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Infinite Speech:<\/strong> Total waste of time and money. There’s tons of other comics to pick from than this mediocre mystery.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Martin<\/strong>: 3\/5 stars. I really liked the IDEA of this, & I was intrigued by the spy elements & the different kind of story I thought this was telling. I loved the clandestine activities with Lois & the various heroes. But, this ending was a let down.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Fallen Angels #1 (Marvel)<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Infinite Speech<\/strong>: Hill drops so much nuance and complexity here that he made me want to see how Kwannon’s journey ends! Another great X-Men title right here.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Far Sector #1 (DC)<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Infinite Speech:<\/strong> Meet a new Green Lantern and a proper murder mystery you should start reading. You also can’t go wrong with Jamal Campbell’s artwork! HOLY $#@! this guy is amazing!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-149273\" src=\"https:\/\/comicattack.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/robotech-2-198x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"198\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/comicattack.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/robotech-2-198x300.jpeg 198w, https:\/\/comicattack.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/robotech-2-675x1024.jpeg 675w, https:\/\/comicattack.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/robotech-2-768x1166.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/comicattack.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/robotech-2-1012x1536.jpeg 1012w, https:\/\/comicattack.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/robotech-2.jpeg 1186w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 198px) 100vw, 198px\" \/>Flash #82 (DC)<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Infinite Speech<\/strong>: I need to know we got here to King Cold and Barry in the position he’s in!<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Martin<\/strong>: 4\/5 stars. We’re back to a Flash book without a sense of fun and hope that epitomizes the Flash (or, at least, USED to). I also don’t like seeing the Rogues become murderers – that’s not their style. Still, the story is engaging with good art.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Gotham City Monsters #3 (DC)<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Martin:<\/strong> 4\/5 stars. This is such a fun, creative concept, but it’s weighted down a bit by some very deep, deep references that almost seem required to appreciate the bigger story. Even with that, though, it’s one of the most fun DC books right now.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Justice League Odyssey #15 (DC)<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Martin<\/strong>: 4\/5 stars. The focus on Jessica Cruz has been good, but she’s a completely different character from the one introduced in Rebirth. I’m all for character growth, but I miss some of her quirks. But, this title is better now vs at launch.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Morbius #1 (Marvel)<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Infinite Speech:<\/strong> I took a chance because I’m a fan of Vita’s work and this one did not disappoint so it looks like I’ll be sticking around for a few more issues.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Robotech: Remix #2 (Titan)<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Infinite Speech:<\/strong> The new twist on an old fave is refreshing and worth picking up.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ronin Island #8 (BOOM!)<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Infinite Speech<\/strong>: Greg Pak does it again with another fantastic coming of age story!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Superman #17 (DC)<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Martin<\/strong>: 4\/5 stars. This is a tough one to score, but honestly nothing really happens, as this is a lead-time to the big reveal coming later in December. But, Maguire’s art is great, and there are some great moments with Kara & Zod.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-149272\" src=\"https:\/\/comicattack.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/xmen2-198x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"198\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/comicattack.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/xmen2-198x300.jpeg 198w, https:\/\/comicattack.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/xmen2.jpeg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 198px) 100vw, 198px\" \/>Tales from the Dark Multiverse: Blackest Night #1 (DC)<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Martin<\/strong>: 4\/5 stars. These 1-shots have been a bit hit-and-miss, but this is 1 of the better ones to date. The juxtaposition of Dove, Lobo, Sinestro, and a surprise character (which makes perfect sense) is great.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Wonder Woman #82 (DC)<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Martin:<\/strong> 4\/5 stars. Having Orlando take over mid-arc is a bit of a challenge, and this issue seems to be almost like a recap to catch him, and the readers, up. Fun cameos from other female heroes in the DC universe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">X-Men #2 (Marvel)<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Arnab:<\/strong> Xavier’s hubris in allowing all these villains to plant theirselves on the island seems like it’s going to be a bad idea.
