The DC FanDome event just brought us our first look at The Batman starring Robert Pattinson and he’s here to let you know he’s vengeance. A statement punctuated even more by the brutality of his fight scenes and a darker version of Nirvana’s Something In the Way playing in the background.
The film takes place in the early years of Batman’s quest so he might be a little rough around the edges. Matt Reeves let the fans know at DC FanDome, “One of the things that are interesting is learning how to be Batman. It’s a criminological experiment. He’s trying to figure out what he can do to change this place. He’s seeing he’s not having any of the effect he wants to have. That’s when the murders start to happen … and it opens up a whole new world of corruption.”.
We also get to see Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman putting some Capoeira fight moves on Batman along with Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and a creepy as Riddler played by Paul Dano.
The movie’s production was shut down in March due to the pandemic but The Batman is scheduled to be released October 1st next year.
