For all of you who have been impatiently waiting, Netflix has released the teaser trailer for the new season of Marvel’s The Punisher. In the teaser, Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) is surrounded by darkness wearing his iconic skull vest which is usually the last thing a criminal ever sees. But we are also given a look at the villain he helped to create in season one, Billy Russo (Ben Barnes) aka Jigsaw. However he won’t be going by his comic book moniker in the new season. The name will refer more to his mental state instead of his scarred visage.
Joining Russo we’ll also be getting another villain in John Pilgrim played by Josh Stewart. Currently all we know of him is that he’s an alt-right Christian Fundamentalist with a violent side. We’ll have to see what he does to make Frank put on the vest and how Billy ties into it but we won’t have to wait long. The Punisher arrives on Netflix for your binging pleasure on January 18th!

“Former marine-turned-vigilante Frank Castle has been living a quiet life on the road until he suddenly becomes embroiled in the attempted murder of a young girl (Giorgia Whigham).
