Black Panther is one of the most anticipated titles coming out of Marvel this year. Not only because the character himself has had a larger role in the Marvel Universe for the past several years and will make his first live action debut in Captain America: Civil War before staring in his own film. Marvel has chosen famed author and journalist Ta-Nehisi Coates along with visual storyteller extraordinaire, Brian Stelfreeze to tell the story in this twelve issue mini series.
Earlier today, Coates published a piece at The Atlantic about his upcoming project with Stelfreeze and how he is approaching not only T’Challa himself but Wakandan society as a whole. How it operates, the challenges, and stepping outside of what several past writers have already given fans. Also he provided the first six preview pages from Black Panther #1 which show off the Stelfreeze’s artwork. T’Challa looks to have upgraded his suit and we get to see a few of those enhancements here.
So check out Ta-Nehisi Coates’ full article on The Atlantic then get ready for Black Panther #1 which will be available April 6th!
