“Tatooine” Part 4 of 4: With this series taking place 137 years after Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, it’s evident some things will never change. Jedi, Sith, droids, evil parents, and Skywalkers that hit on and flirt with their sisters! With the revelations from this issue and the sexual tension between the two throughout last issue it was…disturbing.
This issue picks up right in the middle of the fight between our heroes and the bounty hunters sent to kill them! And immediately one learns that when using a lightsaber against a Jedi, it’s better to be a Jedi yourself as Cade demonstrates which end is the dangerous one. Soon after the fight, Morrigan quickly puts it together that someone is leaking info and orders Gunner back to Imperial base to keep an eye on the Moff. The rest fly off to follow a lead given to them by their bounty hunter prisoner. During this downtime Cade and his mother Morrigan, have a long overdue talk which is about as civil as two Wookies going at it over a piece of raw meat! After other events take place we get a quick look at Darth Wyyrlock as he sets some things in motion for the Sith. I don’t know why but this guy is one of my favorites!
I’m a little iffy about how I feel the arc ended, I guess I just wanted a bit more bang at the end. I’ll just have to remind myself that this arc is but a very small piece in the bigger picture and hold out for more bang later on. Ostrander and Duursema still craft a solid story, and these characters are some of the most interesting in the history of Star Wars. Deliah Blue could be cast as just the eye candy of the group with little to offer. However she’s been written as more than that and hopefully we’ll get a few issues that just focus on her and Jariah Syn’s past.
I just hope this recurring theme I mentioned earlier about Jedi and their sisters doesn’t go on for too long. I wonder how funny it’s gonna be for Cade’s buddy when everyone finds out Gunner is his sister? Maybe the galaxy far, far, away needs to get a little bigger.

Oh those Skywalkers and their sublings!
it’s just a little sick man lol Not as bad as Luke getting a kiss from his sister…TWICE! but still the thought is just disturbing. What kind of man is George Lucas anyway?
