In 2014 the world was introduced to Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist which hit harder than Sagat’s Tiger Uppercut! This live action adaptation of the Street Fighter video game told the story of a young Ken & Ryu as they began to hone their skills under Master Gouken. Not only focusing on their origin but also the schism between two brothers and the birth of the demon known as Akuma.
The webisodes were first shown on Machinima and a huge hit which led to a DVD and Blu-Ray release as well. The fans immediately began asking for more and questioning when we’d see a sequel. Well, that time is now as Street Fighter: Resurrection will soon be here for your viewing pleasure! This new story is from the same creative team as the previous film and we’ll also see Christian Howard and Mike Moh return as Ken and Ryu.
Set 10 years after Assassin’s Fist, the main character focus will shift over to Charlie Nash played by Alain Mousi (Suicide Squad, X-Men: Days of Future Past). The teaser trailer revealing the character was released back in December 2015 but now we get to see the full length trailer for Street Fighter: Resurrection!
There’s even a hint that we might see some characters from Street Fighter V in this movie as well! So enjoy!
