Fans have been waiting since Star Wars Celebration to see anything regarding the final installment to the original Star Wars saga. As of this weekend that all changed at D23 where fans were treated to a sizzle reel showing new footage for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker while hitting the nostalgia buttons with classic scenes from the first two trilogies.
There’s so many great moments in here beginning with the classic John Williams score playing while and Luke Skywalker speaks over it. However, the most talked about shot here is “Dark Rey” wielding a version of the double bladed light saber that would make Darth Maul jealous!
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be the conclusion to the story that began back in 1977 with Star Wars: A New Hope and hits theaters on December 20th!
