Recently, Spider – Man: Homecoming actor Tom Holland stopped by Children’s Hospital Los Angeles as everyone’s favorite web-head, Spider – Man.
The actors and actresses who play superheroes on the movie screen might as well be superheroes in our reality, especially with young fans. When actors and actresses like Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, and or Gal Gadot step into their iconic roles as Thor, Captain America, and Wonder Woman, they’re bringing comic book characters to life in a way that fans have only seen on a page, television, movie screen, cartoon, or in their imagination. That’s why it’s so cool and kind when these busy actors and actresses take time out of their schedule to suit up as their superhero characters and meet some young fans.
Tom Holland is the latest actor to make a stop at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to cheer up some kids who could really use a superhero at their bedside. This isn’t the first time Holland has done such a generous deed. I remember some time last year that Holland as Spider – Man was in Atlanta, but the actor recently found the time to swing by the local Egleston Children’s Hospital in costume. Co-star Jacob Batalon (North Woods), who’ll be playing Ned Leeds, also joined Holland that day.
At Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Holland went around the hospital in his full Spider-Man suit to meet and greet kids, take pictures and sign autographs, and the hospital has shared a video of the actor’s visit to pull on your heartstrings.
It’s always cool to see amazing actors using their kindness to spread a little love, and there’s a good chance that those kids won’t soon forget the day Spidey came to visit them.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is directed by Jon Watts and starring Tom Holland, Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Robert Downey Jr, Donald Glover, and Zendaya. Spider-Man: Homecoming will swing into cinemas on July 7, 2017.
