Psylocke. She’s quite possibly the sexiest of all the X-Men, and undoubtedly one of the most deadly. She’s also a favorite character of mine, and this statue of her from Kotobukiya victoriously standing atop a Sentinel hand in the Danger Room is something I’ve just gotta have!

“The second member of the X-Men Danger Room Sessions is the mysterious and beautiful telepathic ninja mutant Psylocke! Once a British woman with minor mutant powers, Elizabeth “Betsy” Braddock’s mind was transferred into the body of a ninja giving her additional martial arts prowess. The deadly warrior woman brings to life the classic style of Jim Lee’s X-Men #1. Psylocke stands triumphant upon her defeated foe, wielding both katana and her psyblade. Her pose shows off her powerful physique, encumbered little by a skin-tight outfit, while her beautiful hair flows out over her shoulder.”
I first saw this statue at San Diego Comic Con this year, along with the brown costume variant Wolverine and Rogue statues from the Danger Room Session line, and they all look bad freakin’ ass! If I had the money to drop on this line, I would without hesitation. Some sites on the web are already selling this Psylocke statue for slightly less than retail, but it would appear that Wolverine’s value has increased since he’s selling for slightly more; which is understandable considering how well done it he, plus there’s even a variant statue with his mask off!
I was unable to find any images of the Rogue statue, but if you click here you can view a picture of the one I saw at SDCC this year. I am really digging that this line was produced with the 90s Jim Lee costume designs. It makes my inner geek drool all over the keyboard.
Check out this sketch of the upcoming Danger Room Sessions: Colossus statue, plus a preview shot of the Deadpool statue by Kotobukiya (but it’s not part of the Danger Room Sessions set)!

I’ve always liked Psylocke and her costume, too!
Great statue. That price is the single biggest and only deterrent from buying for me though.
That is one cool statue!
That is an awesome statue. I wish i had the money, I would buy the entire set! Jim Lee’s era X-men will always be “my X-men” because that is when i first started reading the comics.
Kotobukiya puts out some of the best statues I’ve seen. I may have to start saving up for the Colossus one though!
